Well, i would prefer cardboard, because metal ammobox will do the famous "maracas effect" Which is really disgusting...

A tip for ECHO1: they could use a metal box and put a coating (cardboard or something soft) inside it to minimize rattle.

Nice looking piece of kit. Is the gearbox a M249 type or anything similar to something one may find in other guns, or is it proprietary?
