so basicly any UHF radio that covers 430-470mhz and with an output power of 4 watt or more (if my memory serves my right, all the radio you list is 4 watt)

on the website you say you'll be using LPD, SRBR and PMR frequancies.
none of those permits the use of 4watt output power.

so my question is: do you have a permission to use 4watt (or more?) on the 3 nets, or are you simply just going to?

personally i dont mind using 4 watt, been using 4watt on PMR for a long time... but i do mind breaking the limits, without knowing i'm breaking them :)

just a suggestion, when you ask about a certain radio, please also post a link, where the others can see the parameters of that specific radio.

Taken from my post in the radio comm. forum:

PMR: Personal Mobile Radio, 446 MHz
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PMR446
1. 446.00625 MHz
2. 446.01875 MHz
3. 446.03125 MHz
4. 446.04375 MHz
5. 446.05625 MHz
6. 446.06875 MHz
7. 446.08125 MHz
8. 446.09375 MHz
500mW maximum (legal) output.

SRBR (Short Range Business Radio):
no wiki, use google
444.600,
444.650,
444.800,
444.825,
444.850,
444.975 MHz
1Watt maximum (legal) output.

LPD band, (Low Power Device)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Low-power_ ... ion_device
433.075-434.775 MHz
69 channels, 25kHz spacing
maximum (legal) output of 10mW (yes, 10mW)

looking at your radio:
TX: 28-29.7 / 50-54 / 144-146 / 430-440 MHz (Europe)
TX: 28-29.7 / 50-54 / 144-148 / 430-450 MHz (USA)

1st ed (eu): 430-440 will not work, doesn't cover the freq.
2nd ed(US): 430-450 will work, does cover the freq.

I've the version that covers the whole band - 0.5-999Mhz (to receive) and transmits at last 400-590Mhz (not mentioning 28, 50 and 144Mhz).
The question is: is it legal to transport such device into EC ?
The output is selective from 0.3Wt to 5Wts.

No i dont know... how should i know when you haven't told me?.. besides its pretty hard to know what you are when your posting with the guest account.

If you read the top of my post you will see that i copy pasted the text from another post. So the "legal" stuff that you complain about was written in another context...

I'm really just trying to help people as much as possible.

ps. i'm taking a bit of interrest in the radio you link to. but the specs says it doesnt support 6.25hz spacing, meaning that it doesn't have full support for PMR, so i just wanted to ask you if the PMR channels have been hard coded into the memory with 6.25 spacing? - alot of radio manuf. makes it so that if you but in a PMR freq. the radio automatically switches to 6.25...???

sorry didn´t want to atack you maybe my words where not all that right.

I use this often when we have games here and till now there weren´t any problems wiht the pmr or lpd channels. I am using this and other of my Transievers all the time back here in my country there is a problem thoe cause i am curios about the output.

The nice thing on the Yaesu is that i have the abillity to crossband repeat that means i have a repeater integrated and i can repeat from lpd to pmr for exampel

mind my english it has been a while since i wrote post in forums in english
