I miss the "I think they would have been okay, but our tent was put up the wrong way" option.

Nevertheless, I think they are a huge improvement to the old swedish ones.

This poll is about the TENTS, not HOW they were mounted... THAT would be a great Poll, though...

The new tents are great in sunny weather, all the hot air and farts go up under the roof and there is plenty of room to fit a light platoon in it.
Also, and this is very important, they sport a floor tarp to keep ants, moist and other stuff away.

From Fri to Sat, our tent leaked quite a bit, but it did not collapse or anything. I noticed a "light rain" allover inside the tent, so they may need additional waterproofing. Sleeping under the window in the rain will cause your gear to get wet - learned lesson.

BE, get more of these or better ones and ditch the old ones. Burn them and dance anti-rain-dance around the fire.

Not to go off topic here, but getting a tarp and putting it over your tent will not set you back a lot of money. Then you will have a waterproof tent also. I stayed in one of the big "platoon" tents last year, and we rigged a tarp over it, and put tarps on the floor. Great tent then. People are allowed to make improvements to what is provided....
The old tents, agree with Brujo ;)

We used one of the old tents and once again I was surprised how well it held the rain - practically nothing came through the fabric. If there only would have been a stove to dry the wet gear!

The new tents in NAF-base looked cool, but that's my only experience on them...

I was in one of the new tents and my favorite thing about them is im 6'5 and i could stand upright in them :D However holding 25-30 men i don't think so we had about 18 men in out tent and we all fitted in nice an snug.
I learned a lesson tho when i woke up at 5am soaked in water i was right beside a window so next year i will be taking something to block up any windows near me!

We also hooked up a washing line to dry out clothes in out tent and blocked up one door so there would not be alot of wind blowing through the tent. We also dug a small trench around our tent and lay extra rocks, logs and other things to keep it down in strong wing.

I would recommend getting more of these tents for everyone but just let players know you are going to have to do a bit of DIY to make it perfect!

Oh and i cant remember which tent it was one of my friends where in it and it more or less almost blew away but they had not done anything to hold it down so i expected it to happen.
