I liked it, but not as much as Sollefteå where Berget 8 was.

Pros
No off-game "patches" in the game area.
New and fresh terrain to explore.
Nice variation of the terrain.

Cons
I missed Janco and the ability to swing by a store without being forced to drive 15 km away from the game area.

and the distances you had to walk sometimes in this area was over the notch some times
Wake up in the morning, walk all the way to Souther Border, get shot and walk up half the map again to be able to spawn.
Really liked that you organized transport and taxi's! Really helped out a LOT so that we could have enough strenght to last the whole event :P
But I like the Harnosand area better distanse-wise, also I didn't get to experience Janco and other parts last year.

Unless it costs BE too much to keep transport during the whole game in the future I would't mind playing here again, the terrain was awesome! :D

Allways nice with a new game area but as said before it would be nice to be able to get to a store without spending 30 minuts only driving there and back...

Many of us who have been to several Berget games is a bit tired of the Hernøsand area so well done in finding a new place, i like Sollefteå very much and if i am to rate the B8 area against B11 area i really hope you would go for B8 area next time.

We all miss Janco i guess, but unfortunatly it is in Hernøsand and i guess it would be kind of hopeless moving the whole city of Janco :P
For us who likes a bit of LARP it is very nice to have a place like Janco or like this year the civ Camp with the Iron Walls, it makes the whole LARP'ing experience so much better and fun for us.

So my meaning is that if you are going for Sollefteå next year, go for the Berget 8 game area

From what I heard, the new area was well received by most.
Something new to explore, deep jungle (more than in Härnösand area in many places) and 'flatter' terrain. For all I know there were enough smaller ridges and mountains to climb, but I guess it was more footsoldier-friendly this year around.

The only downside I saw was that there is basically just one major road through the entire area, so if you held one major key point you could completely deny vehicle movement for at least half the map.
Been here since B08... :)

Other than border crossings greating too much of a bottlenecks at first night area was good(at the time being we were not informed that we could blow a hole to minefineld.) Berget 8 area had the best roads, but I think it lacked in game objects. Hills and roads greated nice freedom of movement in Härnösänd area.

The bottlenecks at the minefield made it too hard to enter the gamearea.

I liked the area, Good variations in terrain and foliage. The scenario and base positions meant allot of walking (particularly for Ravens), not the end of the world, but something that certainly started to take is toll towards the end. A different scenario on the same game area might try to move the focal point to a more central location.

I guess that most activities were in the west part of the map only).

But the game area looks good itself. I'm and my friends like it.
May be some points were to far and were actualy somehow offgame then.

If next year gamearea will be close to the Solefteo, it could be great.

A bit long distances, I think the majority of my company stacked up some 80+ km. While doable, some squads were not up for it and turned down some missions that included long walks during the last 24 hours. And I do understand that.
