Hello all,
Many questions from you via PMs and email are very simular, so here is some answers to the most common questions and give you all an oppertunity to ask more questions
Question: Will you release more tickets to Mercenaries?
Answer: Balance is our most important goal, and mercenaries WILL be a small group compared to the other teams. If UPIR increase, we might release more Mercenary tickets.
Question: Will there be a Civilian town like previous year?
Answer: No. Civilians will build shops and establishments as usual, but it will mostly be located in either red or blue base. This is for various reasons, mostly to make the interraction between blue/red and Civilians more seemless and give EVERYONE a chance to interract with LARPers, if they want to.
Civilians can also create shops etc outside of bases if they want to, but no infrastructure will be provided in terms of electricity and such.
Question: Will Mercenaries be controlled by BE or have its own HQ?
Answer: In short, Both. They will not have a HQ in terms of how blue and red have, but they will have a "Commander", who will recieve missions from BE. While the goal is to make everyone have as much fun as possible, Mercenaries will be more controlled by BE in terms of what they can or cant do, for two main reasons.
1. Its a LARP team, and main focus will be LARP and interractions with other teams in both hostile and non hostile ways. This require some level of control.
2. If there is no control, then some people will start shooting at red/Blue and every mercenary will be shot on sight for the rest of the game. Not fun for a anyone.
We would like to stress the importance of what was just explained above. Mercenaries sold out in record time, and with more than double of the tickets interrested in joining the team. But to be extremely clear, it IS a LARP team, and if you dont enjoy LARP, we strongly suggest that you consider joining another team.
Thank you everyone!

Re: Mercenaries/Civilian Q&A and info
How mixed the civilians and fighting forces will be in bases? Is there going to be sort of "military" and "civilian" sections in bases? Or is this something commanders and civilian leaders are going to sort out?

Re: Mercenaries/Civilian Q&A and info
It depends on the role of the Civilian. It will be mixed as much as possible, the goal is to make the civilians be a part of the force in different roles (Field hospital, priest etc)M.Koho wrote:How mixed the civilians and fighting forces will be in bases? There will also be a civlians atached to Mercenaries.

Re: Mercenaries/Civilian Q&A and info
So the civilians will, as far as you state, just be POGs designated to each armed team under a different armband?
Re: Mercenaries/Civilian Q&A and info
Absolutely not, People will play the roles that they want in the way that they want, but based on GAME START, we will have Civilians spread out over all 3 bases ( Red, blue, Civ/merc ) . The reason for this is so that not all civilians are in one spot like we have had previous years. Give everyone a chance to interract with Civilians.Rabagast wrote:So the civilians will, as far as you state, just be POGs designated to each armed team under a different armband?
Nothing stops someone who starts as a civ in blue base to just move somewhere else ingame
The reason for this is that this is an unpopulated area mostly, exception of Mercs and a small group of civilians. Most Civilians have been evacuated to this area, and have shelter with the blue if they chose to . If not, they are free to be on their way

Re: Mercenaries/Civilian Q&A and info
Hello!
Was wondering if the Mercenaries Camp would be given a shooting range where they could shoot in their guns and so forth?
There weren't really anything last year unless you were red or blue and you weren't really allowed to wander into their base pre-game and use their range.

Re: Mercenaries/Civilian Q&A and info
Great Suggestion! Will make sure to arrange some sort of shooting range that can also be used for ingame stuff like shooting contests in the Merc base.Seventh wrote:Hello!
