Food
There are 24 h thermoses or more as well.
Then there are all kinds of various replacement meal bars, nuts, raisins, biscuits, dried or salted meats, a huge variety of canned foods. The list can be made very long, and the contents can pretty much be found in every swedish supermarket. Use your imagination.
You will probably need less rations than you think anyway, but remember the water.

Even if you find a thermos that can keep the contents hot for 36 hours it won't be a reliable method of independently (i.e. no safezone etc) creating hot food in the bush throughout the whole weekend. Yes, there are many different things that you can bring. I for one will most definetely bring all sorts of powerbars, dried fruit and such, but not any canned food, as these take up too much space, weigh a lot, and once you've eaten them, you're stuck with an empty can in your rucksack.

Just wanted to hand out the tip.

There is plenty of meals you can eat cold, and powerbars are substantial when in the field. At least for us normal grunts who returns to basecamp once in a while. What I'd like to point out is that you shouldn't bring anything laxating into the field, like plums, raising, coffie and other such. That's the road to extremelly unpleasant (and sometimes embarrasing) situations.
I'll probably just bring something that keeps me nourished, and when back in camp mix something more pleasant to eat, like: *Timpa voice* de ajs of maj enemis, so dej can't see, and cant tell de odder ded. so aj wont be blejmd wen aj die.
...Or just MRE's or something...

If there is a problem with supply of water and/or heat, my tip is to skip the swedish (norwegian, really) MRE-wannabe's and use US type MRE with heater.
With US MRE's there isn't any need for hot water at all, just a little cold water for the heater, since they aren't dehydrated. And if you want to eat them cold, you just open and eat.
