1. SITUATION:
a. Enemy Forces:
(1) Terrain: the terrain in the area of operations is mountainous and heavily forested. Forest appear to be pine with little under growth allowing for good fires of fire and observation. There are numerous cliffs and steep hills that will limit vehicular traffic and impede foot movement for unconditioned troops. Numerous small villages and farms will expose troops to contact with civilian personal, all of which may or may not be considered friendly. The road network is limited by the steep terrain, foot trails are numerous.
(2) Weather: weather conditions are expected to be normal for this part of the world rain and fog in the morning are too expected. Rain is possible at anytime because of sea winds. Nights are cool. Light conditions are limited, darkness will not be full at anytime during the deployment. Hours of limited visibility will be from 2300 to 0300 at best, visibility during these hours is estimated at 40 meters
(3) Enemy Forces: the enemy forces in place are unknown at this time. Elements of the 13th Guards Airborne Division have been placed on alert as well as the 1st and 2nd Special Operations battalions stationed in Finland. Their expect deployment to the AO is reasonable. Please refer to Appendix A, enemy forces expected for force structure. Enemy objectives are assumed to be neutralization of Swedish coastal defenses and control of the island to insure future operations.

b. Friendly Forces:

(1) NATO Forces: are fully employed in the active defense of FRG.
All NATO forces have been committed to combat and NATO is
awaiting REFOGRER units to go on the offensive. All available
combat forces have been allocated to the reserve, Central Europe.
(2) 18th (US) Airborne Corps has been heavily engaged and has been placed into Central Reserve.
(3) Task Force Titan has been constructed to assist the Swedes in their defensive operations. The multi-National composition of TF Titan is on request of the Swede for political purposes.
(4) Mission: TF Titan will deploy to AO Tiger and conduct combat operations in support of Swedish defense forces NLT 10 June 2007.

c. Attachments and Detachments: None
