United Nations - Evaluation

Post by Alcon » 29 Jun 2008, 21:18

Berget 6 is over and I'd like to take the time to thank all UN troops for a great time. As you very well know I left the event prematurely due to reasons that you all know but I hope that the ones who stayed had a good end-game. By stories told by other players it sounded like you had fun attacking to SRP at least.

During Berget 6 I know I made some misstakes and bad decisions, but I can assure you that i've learnt a from my mistakes and from the advice from other players. I know that UN wasn't what it was supposed to be, only getting half the players registered to UN and the true commander didn't turn up, but I still hope you enjoyed the game.

During Berget 6 some negative things happened on the crew's accord. I've begin written a mail to them with a summery of that happened during Berget 6 and I request that all who got anything to complain about do the same, rather then turning this topic into a forum of complains.

I had a blast at the game! But I'd like to take the bad parts first so the good part will be the things you'll actually remember! :D Smart ehh ?

- Crew poking around UN buisness, all UN members are aware of what I'm talking about. If Crew wishes to make a personal statemant at a later date it will be by their accord - nevertheless it resulted in me leaving early along with other UN members with the same idea.

+ Ovidious and his squad Bravo Tango! Nice lads! I was in Alpha Tango the tent facing opposite of your tent opening. Had a few laughs with some of 'em and ended up making a short "look for mines" mission with one Engineer and one support from Your squad. Looking forward to future collaboration with You - perhaps sign up on the same side?

+ CAT. Man you had some priceless comments - "And instead of General Conrad I meet General Crew and they gunned me down." Half of the UN had a laugh at that one. Apart from that you were really reliable and didn't hesitate. Overall - me like you (not in a man to man fashion - just so we got that straight.)

+ X-Ray. I had no Idea that you were X-Ray when we meet. I thought you to be some upstart army brat that wanted to shape things up. Oh boy was I wrong. You ended up being a really good mate during the whole game, and I admit that I did drag you along a few endless tasks without asking your approval :p Hope to see both you and CAT on the next Berget(hopefully on the same side atleast)

+ The Semi-Crew that announced during Berget 5 "...you can watch a fucking football game." I ended up strip searching him for contraband while he was held in decontamination zone before he would be aloud inside the base. He really had a good sence of roleplay and I was a bit taken by surprise since the first few people I searched didn't do anything of that roleplay part. He claimed to be strong as an Ox, if that helps in identifying him ^^ Nevertheless he got shoot, by our own troops(!), and I had to heal him.

+ After sleeping in the UN tents that had no floor against the grass and such I can simply say that my fobi for spiders vanished quickly after pretty much waking up with them everyday climing the support poles close to my face. They even decided to hang around my vest.

+ Whiskey and his smuggler, a friend that acted as a smuggler kindly told me how we the UN had pretty much supplied Conrad with his toxic virus - which in a way was hilarous since I helped carry the missile onto the car as it left the UN Base

+ The UN Commander Alcon, did in my eyes a good job. Sure I had my irks with him at times, since he knew my name and I ended up doing alot of weird stuff for him till he learned more names and they did the weird stuff for me :) Nevertheless, with only 37 players acting as the UN the base was never taken until after crew had announced their "Coup d'état". Alot of the game spirit was gone when the SRP came at 02.00 at night and several people thought it to be Offgame. So the base never fell to the SRP, General Conrads or the General "Crew". He completed all missions granted his way. So in general term he did good with what he had, look at it this way, he took out 3 tanks with no AT weapon...

Im still strong as an Ox and not at all a semi-crew. I am one of the founders of Berget, I can tell you that those hours in the Un base was my highlight during Berget 6.

"You fondle me like little girl"

"I traded my best Ox for this pistol."

Hej ! Very Hello to all UN guys !

Now B6 is over. After a few days visiting Stockholm I'm now back in my country.

First I want to thank all of you for these great moments I spent with you. I do really enjoy my stay in Sweden. I may have not seen a lot of actions but I also came for the Event, to live an unique experience, to meet new people. And for all of that the goal is reached at 100 %.

Thanks to all the crew. I realize such an event is a nightmare to organize.
>To Alcon I'm aware you had a really difficult task and I'm sad that it ended like this for you. You did a great job anyway. Hope you won't lose your motivation.
>Thank you Matias for all the logistic and help you provided to me despite all other tasks you had to manage by the same time. Hope you had a good rest because you were looking totally exhausted last time I saw you.
>Good job Ovidious. With so few people we manage to make some "funny" actions. It was nice to meet you. And sorry for the last briefings in English just because of one single guy. (damned franska ! Could not speak svensk like everybody ? :P )

>To Bravo Romeo squad : a BIG thank for the fun. Hello to the Portugese team. Thank you OC for fixing my f#@%£ machinegun. Hey Tigre, how are your kids ? Hello Christopher and Stephan ("Vive la France !!!").
>Special thanks to Johnjohn and David. So sorry we could not meet in Stockholm because of the bus strike. I would have sincerely enjoyed paying you some drinks.

>To Lulea airsoft team. Thank you for welcoming me the last day in your squad as medic (damned f#@§# machinegun which broke down again...). I had some nice talks with you. I got a lot of fun with the convoy escort by night.

>Peder and his friends. It was really nice to meet you. Hope we'll see us again. I spent a nice time talking with the guy in french battle dress around the fireplace the very last night (sorry I have difficulties with swedish names.... ). When you'll come to France to visit Verdun and other battlefields, don't hesitate to contact me if you need some advice or help. Just contact me with PM. I'll give you my E-Mail address.

>to the squad with its own tent (Aieaieaie swedish names...). You did such a great job ! Woaw !!! And thanks a lot for the welcome the first day when I was alone.

Pfiou ! Seems I write more than I speak :D
If you want I took some pictures that I can share. Did someone take a picture of all the group ? or at least Bravo Romeo squad ?

Well. Now I'm at home still waiting for my luggage. Yep something crazy. After the security check at Arlanda Airport they just "forgot" to put my luggage into the plane. So my gun and all my stuff are still in Sweden. :? No matter. Let's say I'm ready for Berget 7 so I can flight to Sweden lighter. :D

Alcon: Hope to se you on other games. The task you did geat on your sholders whas abit to mutch but it may have bin good-bad experiense so you may have gained some leader experiense to other events and so one.

If you need help in the future events or some thing just ask. If i got the time and i can help i will help. Se you in the future..

Alpha Tango Whit the big smiles that whas ON 24/7. How bad the situation whas you guys whas allways smiling :P Hope to se you guys in the future event.

And to every one that i havent writen about yet Nice jobb !! hope to se you all again Friend or foe :)

+ / - Berget 6

+ To civilans you guys made the day a little more not safe :D (Diplomat,Cops,Civilian town ^^)
+ To all lajvers ! :) You made our game fun and intresting ! :D
+ That the water whas in side the base
+ The Base Area. Whit out that area UN had bin lost more than just 1 time.
+ That you dint move the Toilet in side the base. I think the base wuld have stunk allot of shit then :P

- That Crew dint plan that mutch stuff to UN We felt forgoten  Vestin and Me tryd hard to make a story line, but stil that is not our jobb its your jobb.

- For the Very Very late food all the time. 6 hours late whit lunch is to mutch :o

- For the UN-Crew member who whas out fighting in the forest in stead of fixing stuff for UN to do.

- No Mecanized!! Whit one Group transport we culd have done mutch more stuff and we culd have goten a beter UN stile game

- Okey We had a Good game going on and then Crew says no you cant play that story line. :?: :?: WTF Thats Wrong !! is all i can say about that

- No Pic's on key personel on all sides that i did ask for. "Some one" forgot about them or dint want to do fix my request.

- To how Crew Organize the story line. To mutch work is put on one person it takes to long and its easy to forget stuff when you work alone and under stress. Divide the work load and you geat more time to do other stuff.

- Bad way to give orders in Brefing. Give them in Paper form in stead in just a speach in brefing. Gives a more tro fealing and its easyer for a commander to plan.

- To little Crew Members !!

I can make the list mutch mutch longer and in more exakt but i think Crew knows where they need to emprove. So short in Swedish "Gör om gör rätt !!" Still i hope to se you guys make B7 and make it beter whit what you did learnd from B6 and the shit load of money you made to ;)

I didn't know some factions had food delivered to them. Not that I would have wanted that either, I got to eat just what I wanted but I figured everybody made their own food. Plus I would never want to depend on a third party when discussing food or something else very vital but rather make what I can from what I've got.

On a side note, on friday I had my breakfast 9.00 am, and got the next chance for eating at 11.00 PM, was I hungry as ever :D

Hi Kartoon

Well in fact this is not a question of food for some factions and not for the other. You just needed to select the option at booking time. When hiring the ticket for Berget 6 there were 2 options available if I remember well : food for an extra 35 Euro ; and transport to pick you up from Sundsvall airport or Harnosand train station. That's all. No mistery.

In my case I had a huge dependency to Berget logistic. I came alone to Berget and so weigth and place in bags were critical questions for me because of the plane. I don't remember the price for extra kg but that's something really dissuasive. Of course I could still ask for some food to my teammates or find a nice guy with a car to drive me to the supermarket. But that can't hold 4 days.

Hey Dre@mz !!!
Thanks a lot for the picture ! So you're back to Angola ? Or are you still in Portugal ?

See you guys !

Sorry to break it up people, but this is the UN evaluation part of Berget 6 :)
We've established that the food should be considerably improved till next game. I didn't bring any food to this Berget cause of the my last encounter where we didn't get food to our places until after some "bitching" with the crew :P So we brought our own food to solve this problem and not rely on transport.

So for future thoughts on the food subject, consider before hand if you want to gamble again with berget food or bringing your own. You might even start a seperate topic should you wish.

So please. let's return back to topic :)
