Is it true that there are some issues regarding sending/importing non-CO2 pistols in to Sweden?
I recall been told something at the last Berget but have yet to find any information, although WGC do mention something when ordering and shipping to the country.
Cheers

Re: GBB Pistols and Sweden
I've seen them in use during berget. And the chrono guys never commented about guns using co2. Witch makes me think: it's legal.
As long as the fps-rules are obeyed, nobody cares.
I've seen a game marshal confiscata a co2 pistol with the suspicion that it operated with too much fps.
It sounded like a hammer when the bb's hit plywood.
Rock on, but obey the rules.

buying Gas operated Pistols and rifles in sweden is legal from a reseller, but importing them from a foreign reseller puts you in trouble with customs since only resellers can legally import them. Co2 is perfectly legal though!
about sending GAs pistols to BE it should not be a problem but i can't really say of shure, but you are after all sending them to a company...

(Not a veteran but...)
The law regarding unlicensed firearms was not written with airsoft in mind.
The only legal unlicensed firearms are those propelled by compressed air, springs and co2. So yes gbbs not propelled by co2 are technically illegal. The police will not care since they are harmless, but if the customs notice, it will probably be returned to the sender.
Everyone who is airsofting in Sweden owns one(including me). The recommendation for people who live here is too not import them, loss of money if returned or destroyed. However there have been cases where legal consequences have occurred.
To sum up, there is a risk involved, but hopefully not a very big one.

Re: GBB Pistols and Sweden
Weird law, seems more like a quirk than anything else.
I had some one explain it to me over the past couple of days. I live in Sweden but am originally from elsewhere and require a new GBB. I've taken the option of CO2 power to avoid the issues with importing and will obviously chrono and modify if it is too powerful.
I can't bring myself to purchase a GBB in Sweden, the going rate for a decent model is a little too steep for me.
Thanks for bringing me up to speed guys.
