THE GRAND CAMO THREAD!
Re: THE GRAND CAMO THREAD!
I think that is indeed how it works. Although I believe this does mean that you'll have to wear your armband over the ghillie.

Re: THE GRAND CAMO THREAD!
Ghillies are ment for snipers and their spotters. Support gunners etc wearing ghillies is EXACTLY what sparked last years rule change to only let the main sniper wear ghillie. So if it gets abused, it will just be changed again in a heartbeat.Panzergraf wrote: ↑25 Mar 2018, 16:06So if you're in UPIR Shadows you can wear a ghillie, even if you're a support gunner or medic, as long as you don't wear your arm band around your leg?
SNIPERS may wear their armband on their leg when using a ghillie, and ghillies are ment for snipers and their spotter. But since a " Support gunner " can act as a spotter, we allow everyone in the team to wear ghillie when playing in sniper teams.
Confusing enough for you?

Re: THE GRAND CAMO THREAD!
But can regular ranger and shadow players not on sniper/spotter role wear any concealment equipment? The way the rules were phrased last year, nothing more than a standard uniform was allowed, except for a shemag to shield the face from bb impacts.
Given the expected roles of rangers and shadows, it would not be that far-fetched for a large part of their numbers to be in a position where they would need anything ranging from a sniper veil to a half or even full ghillie. If you're already limiting the ghillies to the 'spheshul operathuns', surely abuse of the ghillie rule would be a non-issue?
Otherwise either side will end up with several 6-man sniper team with 5 spotters, which will only result in discussion when encountered in the field.
Now, I do agree with the spirit of the rule, which aims to prevent over-use of ghillies, but for certain purposes some concealment material would be needed. Would it be best to limit the amount of concealment clothing (to more than non-zero, ofc) for non-sniper roles, or would such use need to be reviewed on a mission-to-mission basis?

Re: THE GRAND CAMO THREAD!
Great questions, but the topic of Ghillies will never be black and white, it will always be gray areas ( unless we go ahead as we did last year. )
A ghillie is a camoflague that consist of primarily leaflike material that covers your main camoflage. This is for Snipers and their spotter(singular) only, and they may wear their armband on their leg.
Concealment would be addition to your camoflage that still doesnt cover your main camo. which is OK for Rangers all rangers. Armband goes on arm.
If entire Rangers and Shadows run around in full Ghillies, there would be chaos and cufusing anger that noone want.

Are NAF Rangers allowed to use a 3D leaf jacket (without the 3D leaf pants)?

Re: THE GRAND CAMO THREAD!
Hi everyone:)
I have never been to Berget ( and I just joined this forum, so I`m not sure if I`m posting in the correct thead). Just wondering if multicam black counts as multicam and thus is allowed for NAF? Thanks in advance for any advice on this!
