Funny how many airsoft players claim they dont want to LARP. Yet they dress up in fake combat gear, using fake weapons and fighting in a fake army. For me it sounds like they are roleplaying dispite the denial :)

While playing the religious, suppressive and old fashion clan leader Tor I experienced lots of good LARPing from many people. The UN players did a really good job of LARPing back at my naive almost hypo-critic person Tor, who at the begining embraced the UN but at later stage gave major critisim whe...

Those who played in the UN forces where outnumbered, had there base in a bad spot and constantly had to baby sit the civilians. On top of that, we civilian had a in-game policy of complaining if the UN did collaborate with any other armed factions (NAF), since we clan leaders did not want to have ar...

My only experience with a civilian was near janco during a fire fight with naf forces. I saw a civ medic on the ground, i take him out from the fireline, brought him to a medic to heal him. I think it was me you helped. I was running around as an unarmed civilian trying to heal anyone wounded. Anyw...

Ha Ha ! If someone manage to sneak behind the tank and place C4, then the tank commander has failed utterly. A tank should always be surrounded by infantry for protection. Both closely (to make sure no pesky enemy engineer can approach the tank) and in a wide circle to protect from enemy troops equi...

My conclusion? Use a map, the batteries never run out, they are user friendly, they are cheaper and they are lighter. I can't agree more. Here in Sweden it's not unusual that the local bookstore sells local maps for orienteering. These maps are very accurate. Even small paths and large stones are m...

I would like to add one important thing regarding this topic. Last year (Berget 8.) was a very rainy event, and most peoples gear got soaked. Luckily all the military tents had heaters, and Berget Event was nice enough to provide us with firewood. But I have to warn you from experience that those he...

As spokesman/leader for the civilian camp i really tried hard to expose any PsyOps when we entered the NAF 23:rd base before the last battle. All civilians had to do a "LARP" security check, looking for a green card (psyop ID). Everyone came clear. But later on in the battle i heard people say there...

I think many people did excellent role playing. But for me the most memorable where a couple of Danish guys who role played as civilian partisans/rednecks from Afghanistan (or similar). They where really spontaneous and funny, i.e. annoying the hell out of NAF commanders, when we joined them for a j...

My first event at Berget. I had incredible fun. Soaked feet and clothes did not matter. + Great storyline and intrigues. + Helpful Berget personal + Fun, fun and did i mention fun - No electric generator for the civilian camp. One was later on placed down by the road, but the electric wire vanished ...
