Re: Debriefing Berget 13.
Sounds like a comon problem this year with GCT. However I didn't mean like PsyOps, for a functioning command it surely needs a HQ support staff, processing the collected Intel, generating missions and mission profiles and updating element commanders and the overall commander. An intelligence staff....

Re: The larp within the airsoftgame
Larps tend to get better the more interaction between players you're able to create. So in that line, it would probably be better for everyone if more players got access to the larp. I disagree with the "either or" approach, both in that I think it would be good for more military players to have the...

Re: Detailed Demeter review
Like last year, larping with you was fun(igariokas), and this time the Demeter group was hands down the coolest military larp group available to play with. My character had an agenda to help the GCT, but you guys had me fooled in the end. After the GCT had shelled the village, in violation of their ...

Re: The larp within the airsoftgame
Alternatively, factions could negotiate free passage, or even passage with a guarantee of safety where the civvies checked for enemies/mines etc. Granted, if one side has a lot more resources, a permanent presence might make more sense, but the balance issue is something I'd at least prefer BE adres...

Re: The larp within the airsoftgame
The way I picture this is the village has got enough fighters to make holding it a real nuisance. And doing so offers no options to respawn in the village for the occupying force. In addition, the militia players might ambush forces of a faction here and there if they piss them off, but this should ...

Re: The larp within the airsoftgame
I think the larp in Berget would be accessible to more players and more fun if it was somewhat independent, i.e. not occupied by a faction all the time. Perhaps this could be achieved by having no spawn points or other military resources tied to the village(s), so holding it would only be a burden. ...

Re: The larp within the airsoftgame
How it should have always been in my opinion. Armed civilians kills the LARP A lot of the players had handguns fairly early in the game this year. My gang had an M249 hidden under the floor from thursday to saturday. The difference from say UA17 is we had actual written roles to play who did not wa...

Re: What was your best Berget moment?
After the first GCT night raid on Krasnovo, I went back to my house to go to bed. As I am opening the door I hear "shhhhh". There is an airborne soldier sitting in my loft. We make a care package with drinks and snacks and a sausage and pass it to him, humming the theme from "Allo Allo" while we do ...

Re: The larp within the airsoftgame
The editor and journalist(friends of mine) spent a fair amount of time documenting and writing about war crimes and generally military bad behaviour, we felt that this should be brought to the attention of civilian players so that it would have an impact on how they perceived the factions. Hopefully...

I'll retract that comment then. For the future though, maybe rescue objectives should be absolutely impossible to mistake for spies.M.Koho wrote:Felix, the reporters were our mission, not our spies! We were supposed to save them but never really got the order.

Re: Debriefing Berget 13.
Overall this Berget was beyond awesome for the group of civilians I travelled with. I've lost count of the times we had so much fun we still fall over laughing when it is brought up in conversation. The civilian GMs Did a marvelous job of improving the civvy game. That simple. My one point of concen...

Re: Living in Dolina Village :) PROs and CONs
Appleby, you totally made playing an (undercover) civilian a lot more fun. At the beerparty, I discussed with several people the option of making a civilian village, or two, that would govern themselves. I think this could solve a lot of the problems experienced. Its a bit harsh to expect people to ...

Re: Feedback over all
I went to Berget for the first time this year, and in total, I had a great game. I brought a UA 17 cell over in a shitty old Skoda Felicia which we bought the day we left Norway toting our new softguns and matching set of balaclavas from the shady nationalistic militaria shop in Oslo(they were the c...
