Re: Your best Berget 16 moments

Several good moments this year, a few personal one's, like getting to like a M249 again ;) Havent carried on of those at Berget since B6. But one of the top moments was not our finest, but the enemy team who got us. As part of a three car platoon on friday? evening. Moving from the village to Turre...

Re: MGRS MAP Berget 14

I have this KMZ https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2921076/MAP1.kmz which has markings from 2012.

Also have this one which is just a general topo map of the area: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2921076/MAP2.kmz

I will see if I have time to do an export for this years map.

"No"

Source map is SWEREF99. Overlayed Grid is MGRS: The caveat to this is that the area east of "54" is technically in a different MGRS zone, so does not exist.

What info you looking for? The red dots are oil rigs. the "factory" in the east is a refinery. The ammo marker in the west is a fuel & ammo dump.

Re: Radios

Miksu, how long is the approximate range in dense (wet) woodland? How about if you are lying down i.e. no line of sight to teammates, or acting as forward guard away from your team? I'm just curious because even ordinary PMR transmissions get damped down if the radio is surrounded by sweaty operato...

Good review,

Point of note: Anyone can use a BAVS unit, they are not restricted engineers.

Re: funniest experience i had

On Friday evening we had some civs attack the Raven base. One of them was searched and found to have poison; The poison had an antidote that needed to be administered by the which doctor within 1 hour. The civ was asked to eat the poison and then told to start walking.

Re: Gameplay & Cheating?

Well, rules on the minefield need a little clearing up (this has been noted in-game already): The minefield works like this: - If a GM sees you walking in the minefield, he will tell you that you are dead. In-game, you just stepped on a landmine at that moment. - If there is no GM to see you, the i...

Re: Logistics (Water, toilets etc)

Water and toilets for Ravens worked well. Berget was responsive when the generator for the water broke down.

Agree on the firewood. We made a call to try and get it in earlier, and the response we got was disappointing.

Re: The rain, how did you survive it?

On a personal level goretex/poncho kept me comfortable. More importantly, prep (tarps and trenches) on Tuesday and Wednesday helped keep the tents as dry as possible.

Unfortunately vehicle traffic turned the middle of the base into a mud pit.

Re: Game area?

I liked the area, Good variations in terrain and foliage. The scenario and base positions meant allot of walking (particularly for Ravens), not the end of the world, but something that certainly started to take is toll towards the end. A different scenario on the same game area might try to move the...

The pre-game warning was a good move. I made the mistake of only have 95% and 98% deet. Once you had a few bites that stuff burned.
