Re: The BAVS system
It makes no sense to repair it from inside either. What's the engineer supposed to fix from there? The engineer should be outside, kicking the tires and looking under the hood to se if the engine is still there. The rules don't mention any possibility to repair a vehicle that has been hit but not de...

Re: Debriefing Berget 13.
It's not about individual player skill. Whenever we ran into blue forces (at this game or previous) they always gave us a good fight, but they were almost always isolated and even when they managed to win a local victory, it never ammounted to anything more. It's not about numbers either. The finns,...

Re: Debriefing Berget 13.
You don't even need a dedicated mechanized unit. My best mechanized Berget-experience was at B11, where the Ravens had no dedicated mechanized unit, but we formed two (or three?) mechanized platoons directly under the main infantry unit.

Re: The logistics
I don't know if we had showers at the Ikaros base. When we felt like a shower (our car had a 2h spawn anyway) we went down to the gym/swimmingpool in Härnösand. The pool was closed, but the showers and sauna were open.

Re: Less missions this year.
I'm still in favor of having no crew-provided missions (just an over-arching goal), but then you have to let the sides be free to actually perform their own missions. If one side gets artillery'd to death the moment they do something that wasn't planned, then very little is going to happen. Most of ...

Re: B13 - Dildo torture of GCT POWs
If you're gonna LARP-interrogate or execute anyone in-game, do it behind closed doors and with no mobile cameras around.
It's more immersive that way anyway.

Re: The CP points
Generally, as I organize large events myself, I generally believe that in airsoft respawns should be kept in close distance from areas of possible conflict. I organize quite a few games myself, and I disagree. With the spawns too close to the areas of conflict, you end up with and endless stream of...

Re: Debriefing Berget 13.
HPA weapons: well when lmg shoots to +100m distance and branches are snapping around you, it's far from m140. You can easily get 100m range within 140m/s with an R-hop or something similar, and that's not something that's limited to HPA powered gas guns. I have used externally powered gas guns (HPA...

Re: The CP points
My main issue with these was mainly related to placement. None of them were near roads, when in reality a road (and crossroads, especially) is one of the most strategically important pieces of terrain. Having CP's near roads and at important junctions would let the mechanized units be more involved...

Re: The CP points
Being a regular trigger-puller, I never logged on to view the map (and my hip retro-phone wouldn't be able to anyway), but I really really like the concept here! My main issue with these was mainly related to placement. None of them were near roads, when in reality a road (and crossroads, especially...

Re: The logistics
Good, but it was good last year too. The toilets in the Ikaros base were kept fairly clean. "Pyramids" did start building up inside them, but I never felt they were too unsanitary to use. There was always water available, and it was cool and tasted fresh. The Kiosk in our base ran out of French hot ...

Re: The BAVS system
My team has used BAVS many times before and we know how it works, so none of us thought about it then, but when we were issued the receiver and mounted it, the BE crew there didn't really tell us how to use it. Of course we knew how, but what about players new to Berget, or those who have never used...

Re: Debriefing Berget 13.
I was going to write a really long post, but it would just echo what madsvg said. I had a good time at Berget this year, as always, but this time it really felt like the Game Masters didn't want me to. I was part of Ikaros Mechanized, Balder Platoon, just like Mads, and we were taken out by GM arty ...

Re: Suggestion box:
If you have to charge the bolt (or piston, in airsoft terms) manually for each shot, it's bolt action.
