...and all the enemy forces were in place before we started. This is BS. We just had our forward elements placed with our own transports (which were brought in from Finland to be used in assistance of the whole unit, you should try this sometimes) to start the hassle with Poldavian forces as they m...

I would concentrate crew efforts into the main game and get the basics of the game running smoothly. There were many things that did not work this year: malfunctioning equipment (BAVS), too few missions (at least for the Zansian troops), and "deserted" game area at times, because of the MGLs. Back t...

Almost all units were involved in this action Yes, this explains the situation we faced quite well. :D 2nd Company commander mustered the troops and tried again, and they gained some ground but were later dispersed. I had around a reinforced company to do the second push. One platoon kept our rear ...

As one of the Finnish Berget trustees, I took responsibility as instructed by the BE crew to supervise the chroning of the Zansian guns. This matter was already agreed between our commander this year and the gamemasters. However, the situation is not new, it was done in B7 and in B9 also, always sup...

I gathered experience from two BE supplied tents in the Zansian camp, both were quite alright. Even with the heavy rain the canvas kept water outside. This was due to the excellent work by the guys who put the tent upright during Tuesday. We had only minor leaks from surface runoff inside the tents....

I dont know if its the same story (we were near Old drilling site) but my platoon stopped one Armored car with the human attack (as you say) once because there was no way to stop the car. The only dangerous part was because the driver was way above the 30km speed limit and the fact that he wanted t...

Camo-restriction worked in the separation of the opposing forces issue, if you really followed it. Our company used very resticted code of the rule (just one camo type allowed) and this resulted in a very coherent fighting force in appearance. In game effect, in some cases the lighter camos could be...

Installing BAVS to other than armored vehicles creates unnecessary friction between players. We had an armored transport in the game and the driver encountered at least twice players who were demanding that the car was destroyed after they shot it to the window. On the other occasion a human wave at...

SPs were an excellent addition to Berget. Similar systems have been used in Finnish games for years with excellent experiences. They give players/teams definitive reasons to attack to certain points and also give a reason to hold certain points. This is very important, you need to have "reason to do...

A very big thanks to all the command personnel of the 1st Poldavian from me too! It was a real pleasure to serve as one of the coy commanders this year. Johan & hq team, the battallion worked well under your guidance - it is no easy task to get a multinational group of hundreds of people to work wel...

I wonder whose turn it was to secure the base. They clearly didn't do such a good job ;) The guard duty of the base was given to the 2nd Coy after our duty ended in 0300... :) I guess they did not have the same orders as we did: we had guards in place in 0830-> when it was our turn. I was listening...

With all the talk about the mosquitos before the game it was a pleasant surprise that there were hardly any present (in comparison to the mosquito level in Oulu, my home town).

jdoe from FOX was the FO on the attack to Miners hut on the 2nd day, I don't know how much indirect fire he called in. Jdoe called in the strikes but we had to keep our positions under hard enemy fire for around 15 mins before the strikes. Actually, NATO guys counter attacked with a squad or so to ...
