Re: Debriefing Berget 13.

The photos and some of the feedback on the forums seems to indicate that RedFor was faced with the same lack of overall command but rolled with the punches better and were able to mitigate the issue. I can with 100% certainty say that this was not the case amongst the three military parts (Minerva ...

Re: Debriefing Berget 13.

Sounds like a comon problem this year with GCT. However I didn't mean like PsyOps, for a functioning command it surely needs a HQ support staff, processing the collected Intel, generating missions and mission profiles and updating element commanders and the overall commander. An intelligence staff I...

Re: Debriefing Berget 13.

Blue force consists of smaller groups. Bad communication etc. Its not about the noobs or the gearsluts or even the camo. Proper command even at lower ranks with good communication. Thats what blue force needs. As a grunt Bluefor had excellent communication on the ground at the platoon and squad lev...

Re: The logistics

The MGRS on the bought A3 map was unclear or incorrect, had to rely on a copy provided by a team mate. Part of the issue seemed to be falling on the boundary of grid designators, but still a little frustrating. Otherwise the logitstics felt good, toilets were not as good this year in the GCT camp as...

Re: The CP points

CPs were really nice, I think Berget is on to a good concept with this approach. The comments regarding placement of CPs and also indicating to those in the field by way of an LED light are good improvements. My feedback here is echo'd by previous comments, it was really nice to recon a CP move in, ...

Re: The BAVS system

Hired a BAV grenade, was provided with no instructions about its correct usage. For 1.5 days I wondered why I was unable to take out any vehicles only to be informed by another player that the grenade wasn't switched on. I had never used one before so hadn't realised it should make a noise and the m...

Re: Debriefing Berget 13.

Distribution of BAVs were an issue. I had one but it seemed like I was maybe the only guy in Para that did. As I said during the event, it was nice to feel so needed. However my BAV was provided to me switched off, thanks to ACE for fixing it, but it was a frustrating first 24hrs not understanding w...

Re: WANTED: PMC footage

It was odd, I was in front of Ace and he was firing the BAV like mad.

I opened up but I wouldn't claim I got any seriously accurate fire off, so apart from the BAV issue not a problem for me.

We had just wiped out their base...so I was pretty happy. Probably one of my airsoft highlights.

Re: Short after action report from GCT Sniper & Recon

There were a group of Finnish players from GCT wearing Berget issued PMC armbands on the final day. Previously one of them had posed as a reporter from the New York Times. Note that the PMC armbands were the same as civilian armbands. Fair enough, but I saw many Civillians but none seemed to have t...

Re: Short after action report from GCT Sniper & Recon

On the final day they wore PMC armbands. I get that Berget might have sanctioned this, but really was the possibility of it mentioned in Berget Event rules?

Re: Umea camping?

I know a good pub, "the bishops arms". Been in there several times on my drive down. As a brit living in sweden I would say its the best we've got (there are many Bishops Arms, better than O'learys with all the TV's), but it isn't a proper pub by any stretch of the imagination. Lacks the aroma of u...
