Nato India Coy Patches
Posted: 30 Jun 2009, 18:22
For all those in India Company, someone suggested a company-specific patch.
I'm putting together a couple of designs, which can be seen at the link below, if anyone wants to submit their own designs to me or suggest ideas, feel free to post them here.
For now, If you want a patch (when the design is decided), vote in the poll and let me know how many you would like, this is so I can get an estimate on cost, the more patches I get made, the cheaper they are.
Once the approximate number is known and if people submit any more designs to me, I'll put up a poll for deciding which patch to get made.

Where can we vote for patch design?

Good idea Keiffer, though I don't understand why people would want more than one.

Ill post a seperate thread for the design once they are finalised, at the moment feel free to comment on the designs I've submitted above.
Basically what I'll be doing is;
1) Wait 1 week for people to vote quantity of patches they would like (this thread)
2) During this 1 week, people can send me patch designs or give ideas for changes to the ones I've made.
3) Post a vote for which patch design to use, this poll will be open for approximately 1 week also. During this time, I also hope to have an approximate price on the cost of the patches.
4) Get final cost and order patches. Meanwhile have people start sending me the money (via paypal)
5) Delivery of patches to myself and then I will dispatch them to everyone.

In fairness, some people may want to see the chosen design before they decide how many the want, if any.

In all fearness (and sorry for hijacking this post), this should have been the natopatch this year
("Don't shoot" on italian + the italian flag in subdued)

Haha, very good Norman.

Shouldn't this be in the nato forums?

When I looked, there were no posts in the NATO forum since before game start, so I wasn't sure if anyone would see it there. If a mod/admin see fit then they can move it.

True, but this poll is really just so I can get a rough idea of how many will buy, that way I can let people know how much they will cost when voting on the final design, the price varies greatly with quantity.

I'll vote for my plt India 5 - we would take 9 patches, 1 patch each.
Depending on final design and price obviously, but generally wer'e for it.

why not to use our old B6 India patch? it is very appropriate and battle proven. ask Norman for the original file and update it...
and I'm taking couple of "no sparares" as well

If someone can send me a scan of the B6 patch it'd be handy, but I'd like to keep it something distinct rather than just change to B7 and the year to 2009

Voting for the patches is now up viewtopic.php?t=5433

it is a very good idea and good ideas should be encouraged, as well as the people who are trying to do something for everyone. I'm sorry I'm the one who's bringing it out load and I hope you won't take it personally, but.... these designs are lame, sorry. they lack distinctiveness and the lack spirit. they have nothing "Indian" in them (besides the one with Ian's face and for that we don't need a patch, most of us have actual pictures with him we could carry in our wallets
) i could have my B6 patch scanned, but you could more easily find it on the devilsbreath's
avatar. i'm not saying we should repeat, but these patches definitely need help...
so this is a call for all Indians (and friends) with graphical skills - please suggest designs and help to make a good idea better.
it is only me, but i hear Norman, Norman...
