Hello to all,
i´m owner of an RPK 74 and i want to use it at Berget 10. Normaly i feed this Gun like the reelsteel modell with Long magazines. Thats customized High caps that won´t rattle. Can i use this or have i to buy an drummag that holds more than 1500 rounds or can i use the long highcaps with approx 500 rounds?

if you want to use it as a lmg, you have to have a drum mag. ordinary highcaps are only allowed when there are no mid/lowcap are available for your model.

Those rules are there originally to promote realism, so when they get in the way of realism (the RPK-74 doesn't use drum mags irl), I think exceptions should be made. Maybe Berget Events could sanction things like this on a case-by-case basis?
I know there are also long midcaps available for the RPK-74 that hold 140 BB's or so. That might be an alternative if BE allows it.

I used regular midcaps with my RPK on B9, it didn't work very well for the suppressive role the gun has, although the relatively long barrel made it a useful DMR! I have the 140 BB midcaps now, they're nice except for the awful finish which I intend to fix with the help of wood oil and sandpaper. I also bought a 7.62mm drum mag (whose lip broke anyway , gonna fix that with some glue and metal hinges or something) which I'll probably use for practical reasons. The RPK and RPK-74 are very difficult to distinguish if you don't account for the muzzle-break.
