What mosquitoes ? When you can take a pice of bread and put some "Kalles Kaviar" On it and wave around in the air and it will fill the bread whit mosquitoes. Then i consider it light. Now ? It was almost no mosquitoes this game at all. So it is no problem there.

But there could just be that i am adjusted to have like a cloud of them around me almost all the time when i go out in to the woods here at home.

Our Autan solved pretty much all our mosquitoes problems. I had more issues with the ANTS at our base then i did with the mosquitoes.

There wasn't really too much of them.. Rather sunny and mosquitoes, than raining and none of them.

I don't usually mind mosquitos, but my sleeping bag has only a small hole for my face when fully up-zipped, so well, during the night, the only place for them to access my blodd was in my face. soooooo. well. not too happy with the bites in my face. xD

The bug repellant in my face cammo combined with deet work perfectly for me. The only times I got stung was when I got lazy with spraying. The rain also did wonders to get rid of the butgs... as long as it kept raining.

The deet did melt the plastic of my watch though :(

Much less mosquitoes than I expected. There was the smaller variety (mäkärä, cannot recall the english word) which tried biting me around goggles, but repellant worked nicely on them also.

I do have itching spots in my forearms now but that was just because I had to roll up my sleeves on Sat when the sun came up and did not think to get some repellant on my forearms.

No biggie overall, just get strong enough repellant and spray it over your headgear as well as on your skin. (By the way brand Autan/icaradine seemed to work very well. It does not melt plastic the way DEET does.)

Applied deterrant when needed, covered my skin etc. No problems when sleeping.

Ironically, I got more bites at my parents house, unloading and dismounting the trailer, in about 15mins of time, than in the whole time in Berget :D

My forehead got bumpier than the roads down to safe zone. Wasn't that big of a problem though..

Mosquitos were aplenty in 3rd Mtn camp aswel as in all swampy areas of conflict. Repellent worked for a while, then it was feeding time :)
As someone already mentioned - the stings were not too itchy, they were bumpy, however :)

Some mosquito repellent on the hat would drive most of them away but I would also recommend using something to ease up the bites after you've been bitten.

I just put on bug repellant every time i saw the li'l buggers get too close for comfort, though that amount of deet probably drastically shortened my lifespan :P

oh, note for future referece: when doing base defense in your undie's, put bug repellant on your legs or they will be consumed alive :x
