An early start on day one and perhaps 18:00 game off would be good yes. But that would mean most players would have to come tuesday.

An extra day or two is a good idea.

to start earlier than 22:00 on the start day should be a given thing. starting tuesday would be great. But in some cases players dont show up until half day into the first real gaming day so there would be more problem with offgame transports for arriving players..

From what I saw this year the majority of players coming from far away arrive the day before game start and this is for many good reasons.
Given that now Tuesday is spent in travelling, only Monday is sacrificed by moving game start 1 day earlier. I don’t know everybody’s professional duties but to many bosses poping up for a sorry single day in the week makes little difference to taking an entire week off.
As to moving game end to 1800h, to me it only puts pressure on the logistics on the way back. This year our departure schedule was just right – not much slack but no need to rush either.

What about starting on Tuesday instead of Wednesday?

Many players have to take the day off the Monday AFTER the game because of travel time. If the game was to end Friday evening instead of Saturday, we'd be able to travel home on Saturday morning, and those with long travel times would be home before work on Monday.

This way a full week of vacation would be enough.

Maybe even gamestart on Monday, as most players don't work on Sundays and Saturdays anyway.

those players who travell through Germany and use the ferry Travemünde Trelleborg would have to pay a lot more for travelling on sunday
