The Garmin Dakota 20 is an intermediate GPS between the 60 and the Oregon series:

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=30926

It has a display similar to the Oregon but lower resolution, and it is cheaper.

Also it looks like the Mellersta and Södra Norrland map covers Harnosand.

Here you have a map about all local city's in the county Västernorrland.
Check on wikipedia if you want, pretty good information there I think.

For years and years are Garmin navigation instruments used in aviation. From my own experience in flying for more years then I would like to think of, I am quite used to Garmin instruments and have learned to trust them. The requirements and standarts in aviation are higher then anywhere else and that is why I have a Garmin GPSmap 60CSx. You can pick a topomap display from the menue as well. I know it is´nt cheep to buy but in my view it is the best on the market.
Others might not agree with me but it always depends on what you are looking for in a GPS.

Main problem is sweden maps are supplied only on DVD because it's size - therefore they are not available for international shipping from buy.garmin.com (only US/Canada shipping from there) ... So I'm checking with the Garmin distributor in Israel if he can get the TOPO Sweden maps...

Atlho i wouldn't get my hopes up - the garmin store variety in Israel is very poor and prices are 50% over the buy.garmin.com ones...

It´s no problem to get that software for Sweden here in Germany. I got it from my local outdoor shop.
If you want me to get it for you, just drop me a line (PM).

At Berget 7 we had great maps of the area. These should still be around as B9 will be at the same location.

These maps used the UTM-grids (or was it MGRS? What's the difference again?) your GPS will show you.

In this way, the GPS will complement the map and compass, not replace them.

The maps were military MGRS and kjsaw has made them especially for Berget 7.

Where have you read that B9 will be at the same place as B6 and B7? I hope this is wrong, I did not like that area.

As far as i have read it only says it is in Hernøsand, and that is the city, it says nothing about where in Hernøsand..... i have not seen anything anywhere saying that it is at the same area as Berget 7, but then again i have not seen anything saying it is not the same area either....
But then again i am a former PSYOPS....;)

So we still have to wait for BE to confirm the exact area in the spring

And since we will put alot of focus on expanding our ingame town of Janco from previous games (Berget 7), you will also have the opportunity for some CQB.

The town of Härnösand where we usually host Berget has been contacted a few years back by google for the reason why a desolate place in the middle of Sweden has so many map requests.

Sorry for the OT but I thought ít was an interesting sidenote.

Cool note, NIN!
And it looks like they've [updated the map] this autumn.

Now Google knows where airsoft is situated! Should you search for "airsoft" - first link definitely have to lead to Härnösand :D
