A treat for the 3rd Mountaineers

Post by Panzergraf » 17 Jul 2011, 21:11

Klings and I, and some of my non-airsofting friends, went mountaineering this weekend.

It was a rocky place! :D

Mostly a rocky hike, so it wasn't hardcore or anything.

I'm not enough of a Mountaineer to do vertical climbs

BE would not provide transport, even they knew it was rocky, so we walked.

I've done some vertical mountaineering, the type where you klimb an use rope and stuff. But i like rocky hikes better. :)

in addition to that hike, i also went 233 meters below sea today, 68th Poldavian be representin' Yo.

While packing my stuff on Friday I suddenly realized that I have almost no proper outdoors equipment that's not in Flecktarn or otherwise part of my aitsoft kit collection :P

I didn't wear full flecktarn though, only my backpack, cap and goretex-ish jacket.

I got a giggle last year at B8 beerparty in Sollefteå. Some otherwise civilan dressed Norwegian players were having a lively discussion about airsoft tactics around some beers. Much to my amazement a couple of dudes still had their Bowman headset on their head - while all other clothing was highly civilian. I giggled and grinned all the way back home on my fully laden motorcycle over that little observation.

Really made my day, that one. :D
