The lack of civilians

In my opinion civilian players are very important for the atmosphere on Berget. For the moment only 79 players have registered to the civilian faction. I am well awear that there is still plenty of time left. But I think it´s important that the civilian faction has a lot of players... and not only PMC´s.

Has BE considered advertising on some LARP websites?

Ofcourse the civvies are one of the nost important part of Berget!
It starts to be the group fightingforces tend to assault when they are bored.
That´s why i think BE needs to give civvies some benefit. Maybe reduce ticketprice, free food, e.t.c....

At the end they are the one who´s making Berget more than a AS-Game...

Hahaha. After being slaughtered repeatedly by Firm embedded with the Civilian populace we did take a bit of a 'Bosnian war' approach to the whole thing. :P

I think that was a bad manner from Poldavians! The symbolic in that act doesn´t fit in Airsoft, even if you don´t are religious!!

But that is my opinion!!! :-)

In my opinion we should get rid of all the simulated war crimes. This is is only oil into the fires of anti-airsoft activists.
Sure; we simulate war, but we don't have the need of war crimes and cruelties. We are all just some friends from all over the world who come together to enjoy their hobby.

So c'mon guys: Please no executions and things like that at B10....and please respect they have a tough stand and need our support to create a nice atmosphere

Well said waldo.

I was there aswell when they digged up the graves, but that was my fault for telling them that scouts from the 320'th artillery had observed the major digging in a grave there...

So i figured it was a legimate reason.

You shoot at Russians they tend to retaliate :o

I'm Croatian and lived through the war, saw nasty shit and still don't find this in any way offending so turn off the princess mode please, it was just for fun :P

Anyhoo on topic good luck with finding more civies and a bit of friendly advice, dont shoot at the Poldavians :)

Yes indeed, don't shoot at us this year (and have a team pretending to be civilian shooting at us) and poldavians will play nice! I'm really looking forward to lots more larp with civilians this year, I did not take advantage of the opportunity last time.

My opinion on this whole civilian LARP procedures...

There should be a RULE which prevents shooting at civilians. This decision should not be left to individual players.
And there should be a RULE preventing people with civilian armbands to carry weapons.

These rules could be updated with special circumstances (such as civilian taking a weapon AND putting on a yellow/red/blue armband) or special time-frames... but I would so much more enjoy relating to LARPs if I KNEW they wouldn't shoot at me and only want to exchange /sell/trade information.

BE and others, think about it.

I have followed this simple rule in Berget games;

Civilian + weapon = not civilian

If this "civilian" with a weapon shoots at me or my team-members, we shoot back (until orange). Plain and simple. We DO NOT open fire on civilians, even if they are armed, unless they appear hostile or eliminating them is essential to mission goals.

Civilians are not targets "for fun". Civilians are an asset for trading goods for game points and intelligence. And it is much easier to interact with a living and co-operative civilian than a dead or hostile one.

But truly, armed civilians have always been bit of a problem, and I think these pseudo-civilian players should be able to be recognized with their own armband (Police, PMC etc. would have their own armband).
