Plus, certain aspects of the civilian situation NightSarge mentioned might be of concern for players outside the civilian faction as well.

As in, for example
- will there be civilians other than PsyOps prison camp detainees?
- is there a known spokesperson for military command to adress civilians?
- might we run across the occasional arms dealer like in B9 again?

From the "in reality it would be this and that way" approach, I would argue that this kind of information would at least partially available to the fighting forces (at least on command level, how they pass this information down is their thing), since both sides didn't come to the battlefield just yesterday but have instead spent some time in the general area (as fortified bases and prison camps suggest).

i wonder if there will be civilians or all sides. What I mean with this is i there will be different camps/tribes of civilians who will interact with all the factions. I fear that it could be like last year where it was hard for a Poldavian soldier to visit Janco because the town was controlled by NAF/Firm/UN most of the time
B9: Pol. 320th Arty - Coy Cmd
B10: 45th Mountaineer Sappers ("Sapperneers") - Wiley 2-2
B11-B13: Serving the country
B14: UPIR - Righteous Employee

Hard? Took about 15 min to secure the town when we wanted to ;)

But the interaction did a bit of a nose dive with the whole curch incident ;)

On a more seriouse note, might be worth a note that this is Poldavia, ok , not all agree on that, but there would be people in this part of the country that would actually work WITH their nations armed forces...

... with a gun held to their temple.

It's surprising what ancient Egyptian motivation techniques can do to people's productivity... :p

ROE

Post by CrocKSI » 26 Apr 2012, 16:10

In a real war an civilian person shooting at a soldier will get shoot at, as long as the civic is armed or moving between firing positions, even unarmed. For example in Afghanistan.
So I think it will be in airsoft also.
And the mindset of a soldier in a war will of course be colored by previous experience.
So ROE is a commanders duty to inform to his soldiers and also to enforce it to his soldiers if they dont get it and not compile with it.
So if a civic with important information gets shoot and killed the information is lost forever ingame and the game could end up to be very boring and only a "speedball" fight.
So Berget Crew should enforce that, about info lost ingame and play with that.
I will play civic at B10 and sometimes I will be armed and sometime even hostile and if I get shoot and killed it will be my own fault because then I haven´t played my part well. even if I´m armed and hostile. ;-)

See you all first in the game zone.
Peace in my sight.
