Cheat calling is as bad as non hit taking in Britain. If you cant bring a player number to a games master don't stir up bad feelings in the forum. Stick to positive experiences and contact BE staff with SERIOUS complaints.

We have taken two UN men from bank. One of them looked like an officer.
I have not identified one of them exactly as an UN commander(probably it was).
And the incident with knifekill of this officer was right on my eyes.
And that happened before I gave orders to gather all Civs in Church.
Anyway there was some kind of mess and disorder in the city at that time. That's why I decided to take all civilians in one controlled place. And I was afraid of new provocations from some Civilian guys.

I understand now, and fully respect your priority for your troopers. I just want to explain, that i was THE THIRD UN-guy inside the bank.
This was one of my greatest moment on any BE. My two officers getting out from the office, and gave up in hope that i´ll escape. Your Norweigian platoon made that impossible later... :-)

As a poldavian squad leader coming for the first time things were very simple to me- everyone was enemy except poldavians. We had been shot up by UN, Firm and civvys (as it turns out this was firm too) unprovoked all week and my commanders were telling me by the last day that they were now enemy to be shot on sight. Even before that I saw them only as threats.

I did not come to berget for larp, as I have been to some bad larp events and lost interest. After I had to larp to negotiate the poldavian forces moving through Janco I suddenly realised how much fun larp could be in airsoft. I didn't have to play some ridiculous character, I could just be me as a serving soldier. It was a real change of heart brought about by the excellent larp from the UN.

Please don't think Poldavian forces were all dicks, most of us had no idea we should be interacting with UN and civvys (in fact I got in a little trouble with my commander for doing so) and we were frequently asked to attack Janco and UN as if it was enemy territory.

Next year this poldavian NCO will be doing lots of larp interaction with neutral forces and will be encouraging all Brits to do the same. I hope we didn't spoil the civ and UN's game by being too 'airsoft', but next time BE or our commanders should do an off game brief to make sure we understand that we must respect that the larp players deserve to enjoy their weekend too, and we should all spread the word that this is not pure airsoft. Commanders who refuse to accept the larp side of Berget are in charge at the wrong airsoft game.

Funny how many airsoft players claim they dont want to LARP. Yet they dress up in fake combat gear, using fake weapons and fighting in a fake army. For me it sounds like they are roleplaying dispite the denial :)

Wondering the same. If I want to shoot, go for a real steel. If I want to compete, I play paintball. If I want to roleplay a person on a battlefield, I play airsoft.

Well, that said, I play airsoft very seldom. I go for big scenarios for the atmosphere. Shooting is the most disappointing part of airsoft for me.

Too bad you can't do single scenario game for all kinds of players.

That is the saddest self-denial I have seen in months.

I still think there is a massive difference between playing a combat game dressed in military kit and role playing a character in a scenario, but at Berget you have a responsibilty to do a little of the latter even if that's not what you came primarily for. My normal Airsoft in the uk is not role play in my eyes though.

Vitex, executing a prisoner for the reason you are stating is a serious warcrime, you do know that, right?
Executing a whole town for fear that they maybe will attack you is also a warcrime of course. Bordering genocide actually.
It could be a good scenario for B10 to hunt you down and give you to the International Criminal Court in The Hauge...

Tottally offtopic and burn me if you wish but:

LOVE IT!

Just think of the great scenario opportunities this creates for next year:

You
1) executed an unarmend UNITED NATIONS pow, an officer mind you
2) ordered the indiscriminate slaughter of an entire town

Next year, the UN passes a resolution to bring Poldavian Army leadership to justice for warcrimes commited in Janco.

UD (United Democra) Special Forces support the NAF insurgency while a larger NATO force is deployed to invade Poldavia and overthrow the tirant government.

Tension rises as neighbouring Lirania sides with Poldavia and opens the border for their feared black ops unit and a terrorist group supposedly in possesion of nuclear weapons...

Vitex, the explanation of the execution of the UN officer you took prisoner (actually UN Military Police boss) by the mobsters running the hotel&casino can be found here:

What do you think, would you have acted differently have you had known the background of the murder?
