Errr. As a policeman you can't allow Poldavian troops to _capture_ firm personnel... So you go and knifekill the troops? Way tto go law enforcement...

Remind me to stay away from your jurisdiction! ;)

When i went from the UN HQ tent out to their maingate i witnessed 5 Poldavian guys capturing 5 firm guys. As a piloceman i can´t let this happen. So i walk up to the Poldavian in charge, knifekill and rob him in front of the other 4 guards who don´t realise whats happening. Afterwards i turn around and take them out with knifekill and knockout. So i count for 5 Poldavian in 30 seconds without a single shot. :D
Up to now everything is fine, but suddenly someone starts shooting which draws attention of some other Poldavian guys at the gate. They were pretty pi**ed when they saw their downed 5 buddies. They drew me to the ground, interrogated me and tried to shoot me with their whole section right before th UN gate. A GM came up to me and asked if i really want to do this and we played it to the end.
I was there as a one Firm member and I can assure you that we were surprised as hell too! Our medic got excited about your butchering and pulled his unconfiscated weapon and shot one Poldavian soldier down to the ground. I think this whole event sentenced us to death, but that really was something to remember!

Unfortunately we didn't get to see your execution even thou we wanted to. Should've gone off-game then

The best moment for me was when me and the mayor were escorted to the old graveyard by Zansian Black Ops; thinking for sure we were to be executed. However, it turned out the Zansians returned the urn with Boris Janco's ashes to us and we poored the ashes into an open grave to finally lay his spirit to rest.

As a sidenote for those of you standing around, I spoke a few words in memorium before I lay the ashes to rest. And yes, those were real tears of mine that fell because I used that in-game moment to memorialize my fallen comrades from my unit in Iraq. So the words I spoke were for the fellow soldiers I fought alongside in Iraq in 2003, and those that have lost their lives since.

How do you think an enemy infiltration patrol/sniper team feels about ambushing your campsite when they see you sitting around without goggles?
Should they
a) ignore the risk to your eyesight and blast away anyway?
b) walk back to their base and hope to meet ingame opponents the next time?
c) send someone with a deadrag into your camp and ask you pretty please to put your goggles back on so that they can spring their surprise ambush on you?
Or: d) they don't see/know at all that someone doesn't use goggles. Should we just think "no, _I_ won't get hit, there's NOT any enemies around when we're eating, and if there is, then they will not shoot _ME_ firstly. I never win in a lottery so I can't get hit by the first bullets either."

Besides the "first bullet that will not hit me" often means dozens of bullets, not only one.

My first , but certanly not last Berget.
A truly epic game.

We had a alot of great moments.
But two of the best for me was on day 2 and 3.

Day 2
After beeing canon feed for a day,we walked from our base taking out several NAF strongholds,OP's and a Spawn area.
We were feeling confident and and got the idea to go past Janco and into the UN base.
We fought our way through, and atleast 4 guys even made it into the UN base taken a lot of people out.
I got hit early in the attack and was sitting on a hill watching the fight play out, the clock at this time was around 02:40. So we knew we only had to 03:00 to complete the attack.
Suddenly from our rear a see a group of maybe 10 guys, NAF or ZBO sneaking closer and closer from Janco, I belive Italians.
Non of our guys did register them and they came up real close. Maybe 10 meters. Suddenly we had it from the front and the rear, resulting in a real clusterfuck. ,the NaF guys took us out and took over our raid and a this point got into the UN base them self.
I stood there and predicted our faith, beeing dead not able to warn my team, watching the enemy approaching, sharing the feeling with them of a great ambush. Well played guys!
For me it was awsome, even though i was taken out, sitting there with my deathrag.

Day 3
Pol 1.mech had no cars and all ingame vechicles were taken out.
We had taken the walk, again, from our base and over to the construction yard. We were hammering down on janco without any sucsess. We had captureed the spawn point so the walk wasnt too long for respawns, resulting in a 3 hour battle.
We really got our asses kicked by NAF in Janco, from left and right, but mainly from the front.
Some guys from pol 1.mech and a couple of Portuguese guys(great players by the way) took a heavy left flank and got close up attacking a roadblock of cars and maybe 15 NAF guys.
I layed down with supressing fire taking a couple of guys down.
I saw some movment in the bushes, moving to the left of our position, heading to the forest. BB's was flying all around me and my position was blown.
Suddenly i felt four painfull hits, in my ass,my leg and back.
3 guys from Belgium made the most beatiful flank manouver i ever seen.
Taking everyone out. I shook their hand, offering my respect for the move.

For me , this is what its all about. Experience great action but fueling others experiences aswell.
Thx for a great game, see you next year!

Day 2 (Thursday) I had several good moments. Few of them being
near the Eastern Roadblock our ZBO (disguised as regular NAF) in OD uniforms were ambushing the road for Poldavian troops on the hillside. Me and my mate were tasked to go 100m further from the rest to be forward obserwators and notify the rest when enemy would be coming. We heard vehicles coming and hid in the bushes with a personal camonet. After the third vehicle passed us we saw no more and opened fire to the trucks as they were open from the rear and sprayed full mags towards the vehicles and also some BB's towards the jeep gunners. Probably got a bunch of Poldavians. The convoy then stopped and some of the dismounting and charging poldavians got me and my mate. I was our medic and sure that our mates wouldnt come to rescue us we bled out after a moment.

Later that day, somewhere probably around midnight to 1 AM probably, we were ambushing on the same spot on the road for poldavians again as we just had been attacked by a massive wave of poldavians and being sent 9 truckfuls of deadragged pollies back to their respawn we were waiting for a new attack. I was tasked again to be the forward observator, this time alone and further down the road. For a long while I heard noises from the other side of the road, wich I tought had been friendles as there were some of them nearby that area. I however kept on waiting and proning in my hideout well camo'ed with a personal net and behind some rocks and trees. Time passed suddenly I saw a guy (that looked like NAF) walking up the road in the ditch. I took a small burst and got him down. He started shouting for a medic and I shouted back at him asking for his team. I got no reply. I then saw more people coming from the forest from where he had came from and fired a few bursts there. They answered fire. I tried shouting at them to ask if they were NAF to call blue on blue but I got no reply after this. Due to heavy fire towards me I had to quickly grab my radio, my backpack, camonet, give myself some covering fire and retreat from my "nest" towards my squad. I informed them of the incoming troops and we were just about to be ordered to fall back and give all the conquered SP's and TP's to the real NAF to take care of since we had been holding them for the past 14 hours. During our fallback we engaged the same enemy. We did not see them anymore but fire was exchanged thru the thick forest. It was very intense to retreat from the observation post alone while under heavy fire and in the darkness.

Day 3, somewhere around afternoon I returned from safezone back to the camp to find out my squad had already left on a mission. I quickly asked a squadmate on our tent who had stayed off the mission of where the rest of my squad had went. I quickly geared up and went after them with my raincoat over my The Firm clothes (PMC, civ gear). During the trip I encounted a poldavian patrol. The moment I saw them I tought "oh shit, im alone and theres about 8 of them" so I yelled at them "civilian, civilian, the firm" lowering my gun and trying to get contact without getting shot. I gave them a half-bullshit story of being lost and not wanting any harm. I knew poldavians were enemy for us and it turns out after a short talk with the poldavian SL, they had just eliminated a squad of The Firm members and aparently their ROE was to shoot everybody. For some reason however they let me continue. After passing their squad on the forest path I constantly felt they were going to shoot me any second now. After I got to the big main cliff road I heard them say something about "now your in trouble" and I made a run for it downhill where I saw people. In the hopes of them being the squad of mine so we could engage the poldavians together. However when I ran down, closer I noticed "oh shit, more poldavians" and went with the same story again. They seemed very friendly after I removed my magazine and yet again explained "being lost" and how im just a civilian wandering trying to find my squad. They let me continue aswell and I tought I'd go to Janco City as The Firm had an office there. To see if my squad was there. On my way I saw more poldavians by the road. By the time I got to the UN Checkpoint I reported intel of approximate 2 platoon's of poldavians and their exact locations and size to the UN MP and our Firm HQ. I decided to return back to my base after this. On my way back I met the same poldavian squad I had seen first on my trip and I managed to chit-chat my way thru them again. Even tho they were quite suspicious to see me again. After this I also saw a UN squad engaging the poldavians and reported the UN SL the intel I had seen on my trip. When I finally reached base it turns out I had been very lucky not to be shot and by just walking around I had reconned several poldavian squad and roadblock locations. It felt more exciting and intense on the actual situation when your trying to talk your way thru the enemy. Not knowing if they want to shoot you, capture you or if your good enough to talk thru.

PS. If any of those poldavians I met is reading this. Thanks for not shooting me, it was fun. However I had my selector set to full auto and finger ready on the trigger incase you had not liked my story. ;)

We didn't all declare us off-game, some guy(not even sure if it was our command) said "okay, were off game, lets head back to base" and the second after that all of us were suddenly off game(?). The rest of us were quite confused at this point, so all of us had NOT declared us off-game. Many off us told you this

I try to swat a few with my hand, and after looking up, I see two soldiers in beige uniform sneaking along closely together less than 20 meters in front of me. Not wanting to contribute to the vast amount of friendly fire which the Poldavians had suffered from since day one, I wait until I get a clear view of their armbands. For a moment I thought they were looking straight at me as there was only a thin line of bushes between us, but the KLMK pattern does its job well; they did not notice me at all. Finally, I see their armbands; they're bright blue alright. As my machine-gun mows down the first hostile, the other tries to run away, but to no avail; he is also hit and goes down.

I call contact and my squadmates slowly start to move futher into the woods surrounding the area, but get hit by a hidden hostile. I and some other guys on both sides bleed out eventually, and we start to chat with the dead enemy squadmembers (finno-swedish Rangers, a very friendly bunch). After a while, the same Russians who helped us take the Western Roadblock (or was it the other way around?) come rushing out from the woods, about fifty of them, and finish of the Finnish rangers. Those in our squad who are still alive (3 of them) decide to tag along while the other four of us march home, beaten but proud that we managed to take out 5-6 rangers while "only" losing 4 people while slightly outnumbered.
That was us! 3rd Rangers, A-3. It was nice shooting with you guys that day! It was one of the best moments for our squad as well. Hope to see you again next year.
Aaaw hell! I can't belive that I didn't see you sitting there, it was a nice moment and we really enjoyed the ghost talk with you guys! Hope to see you next year! Oh and nice fightin on the hill nexto Janco city =]

I blew up the NAF HQ, that was fun. screaming and stuff. One of three "have to be taken by an engineer with c4"-targets i blew up.

A note about theese pink C4 -thingy blocks that i was provided two or three times. I don't know what kind of Mr.Lau quality pyro or fuses they where made of, but they all failed. so we just yelled "boom!"

My most favorable moment where taking out a sandbag nest, with my 40mm, from the passenger seat (of the Camo MB with the MG3 on top)
I did not fire my AEG or GBB once, just shot people with my 40mm.

The least favorable memory is the fact that i have to change my windscreen because ppl spraying the cars with aeg's because they did not read or updated themself on the rules. You can't hit shit trough an window, even if it presents itself as a target troug your red dot sight.
The target beeing a military MB240 or a painted escort or carawelle.

And.. don't throw or pour beer at people, it's stupid and you know who you are.

...Klings, of course people will still open up on cars if they're ingame. It's a distraction for you and chanses are that a window or two is rolled down and you'd score hits on those players inside.
It's sad that you've taken so much fire on the windshield that it needs to be replaced, but in the end it's a risk you're taking when bringing the vehicle to Berget.

Cracked and smashed windshields happen at almost every Berget, and I lost so many side mirrors ingame I forgot to count. I have holes even in the dashboard/speedometer.

The easiest and cheapest solution is to use Plexiglas cover for the mirrors and front windshield (fixed by Powertape, for example), and maybe for the headlights. The side windshields are not as expensive and hard to replace if sh*t happens...
