I read from the other topic about the chronoing and that gave me two (draft) ideas where / how to improve:

- Replace the chrono-paper-tags given after the chronoing with metallic / fabric bands (like festival tickets) that you wrap around the stock, pistol grip or trigger guard. That would hold, last despite the weather and isn't that easy to switch to another weapon.

- Have the chrono on the gates of every big camp (already 1 or 2 per camp could be enough). There could be one crew-member or assigned player making sure that everyone / half / less of the leaving soldiers get chronoed and checked that results match the tag given for the weapon in the check-in. If this is done in shifts it means that one player has to be there max 1 hours during the whole Berget. That's not much really! The downside of this is that it takes ages to chrono players when the whole basecamp is left empty (and the fact that you need ~10 chronos and be ready to listen the whine about the shifts at the chronostation)...

Been thinking alot if I should post this but I feel that I have to.

During a night, the NAF base came under attack. A poldavian player jumped up on the back of a pick-up and started pointing his gun over the edge shooting a NAF player point blank. A Berget trustee saw this but did nothing. Instead he turns around and starts bitching about me and my friends armbands. That we have them on the wrong arm.

To me, this is stupid. Those people should not be trustees if they do not have the guts to actually do something when people break the rules.

This is a regretable thing to happen but please do consider that not all Games Masters (to my knowlege) are not Trustees. Trustees will be able to stop the situation and show their IDs. Some Games Masters, unfortunately at B9 have been making some wrong decitions or have influenced game situations rather bad handed, only listening to one side.
Hopefully that will change for B10 and Games Masters will get extensive instructions. We donĀ“t want them to have their powers in the Game going to their heads.
Trustees are usually well experienced Berget Veterans and are not in the habit to misuse their powers.

I would think that the rules for Berget 10 on a PDF printout could be carried by each game master who could show the rule(s) to the player(s) if needed. This would settle any arguments over rules.

Good idea. I suggest similar as in Berget 6 though. There, all Berget trustees ie platoon leaders/company leaders had this sort of booklet on them with short version of the rules. Would be good to re-intorduce them. Was helpfull then, will be usefull again :D

But nobody carried one. This is a suggestion to make it small enough that anyone can have it (even have extra to hand out.)

...small enough? Will you read it? Get it written on the forehead of each player!!!

Berget 8 we got them, I did not get one this year. Good idea with the books for trustees, but all players MUST know the rules.

True, but more important is that Berget Events MUST enforce their own rules. If they are reported breaking of the rule, they must act, according to the how severe the rule breaking is, in some way, or the rules are irrelevant.

+1

At the very minimum they should note down the complaints of the paying customers (!) and not go Bagdad-Bob-style claiming that no one is ignoring safety distances and what not.

--

To bring in a fresh idea: There should be a civilian leadership for major factions. Consider a corrupt banana republic-style dictator or a Oligarch, that suddenly change order to get their hands on the highly profitable goldmine, ignoring military reality. Or a president that puts the upcomming election (and hence the voters good will) first, who in their right mind wants to escort that president during campaigning into war-torn Janco City?
There are many wonderfull opportunities for the LARPers among us. This would also make commanders replacable if their soldiers fire upon civilians without cause. The civilian leadership demanding enquiries into the deaths of innocents and so on...Possibly this could lead to better control of certain gung-ho-shoot-everything---- SPAM !!! ----all-others-style players.

worth discussing i think...

It will not help, berget is a airsoftguns game, not milsim or larp. This means a lot of players are there to shoot. And no matter what they will. I had people shooting civilan cars with at-4 as soon as they had a chance, reason "because they could!" that has nothing to do with leadership. Either you must accept that players will not larp, or Berget must say that this is a milsim/larp game (not happing, as it will cost them money)

Request to Berget Crew about in-game videos: can you somehow share the raw unedited videos taken by berget crew?

Just convert it to some reasonable file format and push it out as torrent. No server bandwidth wasted there and no need to wait for the edited B10 trailer before we get to see the videos.

I think most people would be happy to just go through the videos and check if there are action shots where you can see your team in combat.
