Old Bashir city was much more like a village or town than Dolina that was a house, Ironwalls and few tents. More houses would do miracles to the atmosphere.

I would like to see 2 villages. Possabuillity by "elders" to ban villagers who obviously is bad for the peace...
That should make it more glamorous to be a "real" civilian...

...and wtf did the fort do in the village this year? Wasnt it under civilian control last year at gamestop?!?
Reddicillous!! If it will be used again under RAVENS, don´t put it in a civilian area!!!

The fort got blown up and UA17 controlled the remains of it from what I've heard :P

Either you or me played as civilian, but the "counter" registered the time a fraction held the fort. BE can confirm, but i remember Blodravens held it most of the time, GCT held it for a couple of hours, but civilians held it for second longest time...

Last year (my first at Berget) it was a blast to visit the village !
The number of poeple, the atmosphere, and the way, all would change, from freindly, to down right hostile, if we messed up.
This year it seemed at bit empty, but still the interaction with the "civilians" was great fun :)
Stopping te moonshiner at the border, really pushed my "acting" skills, cause that guy was SO f"#¤%g good :D

I love the LARP element !
It's the only wargame I have ever participated in, where it's done so well.

So please keep it up !

So far it is:
- More REAL Civilians
- More Buildings
- 2 Cities
- More LARP in general

I said last year that Dolina felt like an refugee camp but this year it probably fired it self to life and felt more like a village. I still like bashir city more because it actually is a village/city. Dont remember about B8 area so much because I spent most of my time in the base guarding it.

HAHAHA! Yeah, Mr.Black did a great job, again. Peggy Sue and Jim Tom Mudwater where great characters.

And for the LARP, you should come with us to "Protector" in Czech, there you have LARP all over. With 5 villages and hundreds of Larp-players posing the afghan population greatly.

Never saw bashir city myself since my first berget game was B9. But even during B9 the civilian village was more impressive (B10 it had been abandoned due to genocide or something like that but it still stood there). The village of B11 and B12 frankly paled in comparison.

If BE is pressed for time while setting up the game area (perhaps the land owners doesn't allow you to start constructing in-game buildings weeks before game start or something), then why not try posting a thread asking for volunteers in helping in construction among the players?

I'm sure at least some players would be able to travel to the game area a day or two before check-in/game start and help out in construction.

You could provide incentive in the form of ticket discounts, "free burger" tokens, berget taxi service tokens (maybe be allowed to be "airdropped" during the game even while the berget taxi acting as a helicopter) etc.

But even if such forms of incentives are unavailable due to budgetary reasons, some people might like to help out anyway (their in-game experience will be improved along with everybody elses with a larger in-game village after all).

It can't hurt to ask around. :)

so you've seen Janco @ B9? That is the same location - Bashir City itself, but improved with the 2 storey hotel&casino and some other buildings.

*putting up Coffe on the list of strippers next year*

I too would like to see more buildings in the village. Perhaps a two village setup is not a bad idea. The primary village could consist of buildings. The trouble makers thet get cast out the have to live in tents 100 meters away or something.
