"No"

Source map is SWEREF99. Overlayed Grid is MGRS: The caveat to this is that the area east of "54" is technically in a different MGRS zone, so does not exist.

Heres a map from previous games with the right grid, showing exactly what Kris means.

L4gi wrote:The way respawns will work this year is that you need to have all the oilfields in a certain area to use any of the oilfields as respawns. Just FYI.

Do you mean CP's? (Okay now I see that there is a second map released by Berget).

Do all the oil well points on the map represent actual physical oil wells in the field?

What is the situation regarding the "control zones" announced earlier by Berget? These dont appear to be on the map released initially, are the control zones the stippled lines on the digital dynamic map?

I'm working at a company level to sort a larger map for us with additional detail. Now it seems like there are two maps released by Berget... the digital dynamic map and another one. Whats the deal?

One is an MGRS map(with fucked up coordinates), and the other is the map that will be on the website thingy you can use to see who has what CP.

You just shatter my world now, when I`m reporting to HQ what coordinates I will give east of 54 the fucked ones or real GPS coordinates ...

HQ would need to have one printed map of each version to be able to receive GPS coordinates from units operating covert. Folding out the water resistant map is a sure position giveaway if you try to stay somewhat hidden.

HQ will have enough maps to receive the proper coordinates. We are working on making a map with the proper grid aswell.

I think coordinate difference between Berget maps and real MGRS is minor problem. Most of the game area are covered with right grid (about 8 out of 10 square kms). In case of those two square kms to the east from line 54 you can easily use basic orienteering and map reading skills to pinpoint what ever you want. I would stick with berget map.

Hi

Regarding the digital dynamic map.

The oil wells with flames, gas flares I assume, are these considered different objectives than the oil wells without flames?

Similarly, do the oil pumps represent different objectives than the flares and the wells?

Or are all oil symbols within the same group? I.e. all are just CPs?

Not sure how the map was constructed, but it seems like the base map has a SweRef 99 projection system but the grid been used is MGRS and that is what is creating the gap.

The easiest solution might be to just use a SweRef 99 grid. But perhaps that destroys those cool guy radio moments where we get to say "Grid Designator..." :D

Made an easy to use guide on how to read MGRS to those who "forgot" ;)

Open image in new tab to see it completely.

The way I wrote is how you read MGRS mate, maybe you're mistaking it for some other way of reading a position.

Clarkson034k, check your protocol. Easting is reported first, then northing.
