Does anyone know can I somehow set up the MGRS map to my Garmin GPSMAP 64s as a "map" or part of the map so I could see my real location over the map picture?

Can we have a confirmation if the south west road will have the same status as last year, you can use the road to travel but you are prohibited to fight on the road ?

"No"

Source map is SWEREF99. Overlayed Grid is MGRS: The caveat to this is that the area east of "54" is technically in a different MGRS zone, so does not exist.

/k

thx

ABOUT SWEREF 99

found this on wiki
english
SWEREF 99 agree within about half a meter to WGS 84. Since the accuracy of the position measurements based on data only from GPS satellites is about 10 meters [ 1] can SWEREF 99 and WGS 84 in many GPS applications in Sweden are considered to be equivalent.
So wgs84 is good enough since my garmin 401 doesn't have such datum :)

If you are reporting a px based on gps, just let the person you are talking to know. Then he can use a gps or a online ref to get it right. If you report of the grid on the map, then his map and yours will be the same, and there is no real problem. This map has been like this since at least B9, and no big issues have turned up. Just letting people know solves it.

Wow, just noticed this on mine also. RT90 is reaching the point of a retired/legacy grid and SweRef is taking over, bit of an oversight by Garmin

I have this KMZ https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2921076/MAP1.kmz which has markings from 2012.

Also have this one which is just a general topo map of the area: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2921076/MAP2.kmz

I will see if I have time to do an export for this years map.
