Oh also, the AT4s could use an extra safety, some extra switch to manipulate or something, because even with the added ridges negligent discharges were still a thing.

I realize this is a limit with how BAVS is designed and all, but I saw one Red AT4 guy take out 4 vehicles with one shot. That shouldn't happen...should it?

Its a quite narrow beam of IR, but if you drive back to back anything is possible.

The beam of AT4's is actually very wide at range. It's like a cone, so the further away you are, the wider the beam will become.
Exact range will vary, depending on weather conditions. At dusk/dawn and with clear weather, range can easily exceed 150m. At that range, you could easily take out several vehicles with one shot.

At very close range, you might not hit the receiver if you aim directly at the vehicle.

In fog, range will be very short. In very strong sunlight, weird things can happen also.
