Maybe it's an idea to but links to the main page and forum, in the portal
Otherwise it is one smooth working thing (apart from the mail delay, due to high load) :)

Hi,

I have two questions (new to Berget)

1. How many confirmation mails do you recieve when ordering a ticket? I've recieved only the confirmation mail that i've payed, is that everything?
2. How now further? I saw new forumparts, (when) will we recieve a password?

Hello and Welcome!

1. You can always view your ticket in the portal, and you will get an email confirming that you have paid, so it seems correct. Remember to double check the ticket in the portal so that you got everything you need with the ticket.

2. The teamforums are still being organized, and more information on how to enter will be posted here on the forums at a later date, probably won't be until after newyear.

Thanks for the information.

I've ordered a ticket for a friend of me, and used his gmail as his primary e-mail. But he didn't receive the activationmail (not even in the spam). What is the correct next step? Let him create an account with the same mail, or that i'll pay the ticket and than we hope that everything works out?

hey,

This is our second time on Berget.

I have a Question for the Navigation on the Event: the last time when we was on Berget we brought our handheld GPS, it was a big task to got all the CP Coordinates and set in on the navigation. Now i see that there is a Option to do this online (BACS) to see wich CP is on your and your opponent´s Team. So what do you think is better to do, the research for the hole GPS points (or one friendly person how want to share it :) ) or it´s enough to use an Powerbank and the smartphone in compination with the berget system?
Can somebody share a Link to this system, I search for it but i don´t could find something :/

Thanks in advance
Dominik

I would use a mobile phone with a Powerbank.
Most teams use some kind of mobile platform to communicate via the phones since the radios doesnt work that well once you leave the base.
Platforms lite Whatsap or Telegram messenger etc.
The website isnt used now and you will get a link If they will use the system next year during the event. Go to your HQ and ask for it.
Its a simple website with login to see the CPs and other interesting things on the map. However it doesnt show where you are in regards to the berget map. So use your phone with Google maps or something to keep track on where you are if you get lost.

okay, thank for answering so we´ll do it like that way.
Did we get the map with the whole cp in advance or must we wait till we arrive at the event?

The MAP will be published ahead of time in the team forums, but the Digital map will not be live until just before game start

We did some testing last year: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1IblaB ... 66Gafc_DGK
I have to update the file with the last findings of our team.

Radios: 0-1km
GSM: 0-...km

Every year i try to make a .kmz file to load in on your handheld GPS (we use garmins).
That is a custom map you can load on your GPS that shows the berget map on your screen.
We share this on our facebookpage. (25th Mountaineers)

The handheld GPS has my preference because it can take more of a beating.
The mobile phone i use for communication with other people in game and pictures.

I have been using the Etrex 20.
It has a color display what makes it good to see the Berget map on it.
It's basic but it does the trick.
