The eliminated vehicle can be repaired by an engineer (60 min repair time, the repairs must be made from the outside of the vehicle) or return to respawn flying an orange flag or marking, to indicate that they are off-game. The vehicle should raise orange flag during repair time.

After the 10 minutes burnout time the vehicle can also choose to drive back to base offgame and respawn in base. Respawn time in base is 2 hours.

To balance out the power of in-game vehicles, we will increase the field repair time to 60 minutes for an engineer to repair a vehicle in the field. If more engineers are available a maximum of two can work on the vehicle to reduce the field repair time to a minimum of 45 minutes.
With all the BAVS at Berget now, shouldn't vehicle respawn and repair times be reduced? Two hours is a long time to spend in base waiting for your vehicle to be ready again, especially when they are taken out so easily.
This is something that Can be discussed alot (and we do)

Generally, we want mech to do more teamwork and less suicide runs. Vehicles are getting more and more difficult to take out without bavs, and it need to be a risk vs reward.

I dont agree that vehicle are easy to be taken out, we adjust bavs hitpoints and how they work on a yearly basis based on feedback, and barely any feedback from last year was about vehicles being easily taken out.

Also we added the vehicle repair station as a test to balance things out

Hello!

base logistics are the same for both large teams. The difference is that the Eastern base has a few Buildings to be used instead of tents, mainly as HQ.
We have not yet decided what team is placed where, as its based on player numbers.

Base logistics are: Kiosk with Power sockets, Toilets, showers, drinking water, Tents.. and maybe something else i forgot :)

Yellow team only get Water and Power sockets, cause they are religious fanatics.. Pff..

Those are not sold on site but are sold on "order" basis.

GCT - Special forces

Would it bee a good idea to post the requirements for the "cooper" test before the ticket sales? Then people who are considering that faction could asses themselves before the game, that if they have the necessary level of physical condition to pass the test. This would maybe ease your job when doing the actual test, some of the non fit persons might skip taking the ticket in the first place (some will just take it since special forces are so goddam coool). Og course this is not 100% proof, but at least people would know what is expected and where to aim.

Also, have you considered that if many gets this ticket and fails the test, that this causes some extra work to the commanders where to allocate the players who didn't pass the test?

My opinion that this is unnecessary, this is airsoft, you don't create actual balance with this kind of faction, or the physical strength is a quite bad measurement all together. It doesn't matter if you run 4km in 12min if you have no idea how to pull trough the mission you were given. Or if your faction is utilized badly by the command. And you create a scenario where in this hobby of ours someone needs to be the bad guy and tell the player that he/she is not fit enough. That is quite harsh I think.

And yes, I agree that not every one should be special/ranger unit, but it comes more down to the experience in IRL/tactical insight and able to perform wisely under the conditions. How to measure this is difficult, but physical test might not still be the way. For example the requirement to spend 36h in the field for certain units is silly. The area is so small if you think of it. Then players read that you need to stay in the field whole game, they won't rest enouh or have enough food (due to lack of experience etc). We found last year that it works just perfectly that you stay in the field for 24h+ and then hike back to base (took 1-1,5h through the woods), then eat properly and have a good sleep in the tent for 4-6h and then go back to the field again. This way it was easy to keep the morale and stamina high, but you still spend most of the time in the field doing something worthwhile of doing.

But anyway, since you opted to go with this kind of a approach, it would be nice that it would be transparent from the beginning that what is actually required.

Very good Points, and we discussed all things you just mentioned when describing the unit.

What i want to point out first is that this kind of unit and requirement is requested by players! This is not something that we simply wanted to do ourselves, its based on alot of feedback of ranger units, especially from last year.
The feedback we get is that the entire ranger unit is held back and unable to do what they want to do because a large number of people simply isnt cut for the 'job' and held the entire unit back.
As you say, many people join this unit because it seem and sound "cool", and completely underestimate the physical stamina needed to walk large distances in the forest on game site.

We expect many people to book to this unit, but fail the test. We mention this in the unit description. This is no big deal as there are other teams we easily move players to without any real administration, and we have discussed this with commanders - And they agree.

The details about the test will come, but we are obviously not looking for top athletes. Anyone who played in ranger units Before know that the previous "tests" are simply to let people weed themselves out. Yes, we are taking it a bit further this year, but once again, that is based on player and commander requests.

People who have successfully played as a ranger on berget Before will have no problem joining this team.

isent it up to commander to select the SF commander? The SF commander select his platoon commanders, Platoon CO select its squad leaders, and squad leaders select soldiers? this way you get the best unit.

The SF commander will be chosen by BE due to the nature of his/her role.

The on-site physically test will not published until januari. We will first look into all aplications and seed out the first players. After that we will give instructions for the Berget "Cooper" test.

It would be a great thing to do that if you make changes, you inform it to the players (customers). This way we don't have to hit refresh in the pages and hope to see if something changes or not.

For balance purposes it has been added to another team, it has not been removed anywhere so it doesnt effect anyone in a negative way :)
