System for re-cykling bandages?

Post by Eldoriath » 09 May 2007, 12:54

Wonder if there will be a system to re-use old bandages so that we medics don't have to drag along 50 bandages but can be satisfied with 30 or something and then go and re-supply used bandages at the safe-zone.

The idea i had is that in every safe-zone there will be a bandage box where killed players can put their bandages in (preferably rolled up nicely). Then we that play medics can go there and pick up the same amount bandages that we have used. And there really isn't any need to make sure that it's "your" bandage, since they will most probably be spread out over several safe-zones.

Sounds like a good idea. At B4 our medic had some problems with getting enough bandages after a patrol

This is a great idea Eldoriath !!!

We will put up small baskets in every respawn and a sign that tells people to put their bandages in it.

Thanks !

It is easy and cheap for the common player to make, if we should produce etc 1000 it takes time from other more important things.

Thanks for the good response =)

Tip on making bandages cheap:
I bought natural colored, un-bleached cotton textile (you know, the stuff you buy in meters/foot at a textile store). Cost me about 2 Euro/m (3'4") and it was 1,5m/5' wide, and you don't need much to make a lot of bandages. And it's quick as well, just cut in a centimeter or five and then rip it apart. Roll up and remove annoying strings.

Or you can just buy it. In my town new one costs about E0.25 or even less. And you got it packed, cleand and good to use in a real situation.

For real situations i always carry a real one in my right trouser pocket.

I will also be bringing some Alvedon and Panodil (painkillers) for people who just can't in their head to drink more water and get's headache ;)

Back to basics ..

Everyone puts 1 pieces of bandage in same pocket as your "Im-hit-Pink-Bandana" ..

-----------------
Why bother doing arrangements that anyway wont work and will be missused or pillaged.
The poor medic doesnt want to drag along lets say 50 bandages.

We wont ask the engineers to bring a toolbox for every player right ?

Hello Fellow Berget Players,

Can i give a piece of advise to the organization
The medic should always put the bandage right below your team colour on the same arm
Just a suggestion

kind regards

I'm going to buy polish army first-aid bandages - ~0,5-1 euro for 10 pieces...
