The role of a medic

Hi!

I'm thinking of serving as a Swedish medic during Berget 5. However am I only allowed to help downed Swedes? I mean, it would be silly if I couldn't help an allied American or Belgian.

And one more thing, what if I where to come across a downed russian. I can't just leave him there, I'm a medic you know. And even though killing him with my knife would be to prefer on your part, I think that I have the responsibillity to help anyone who would needs my help. Am I the only one who feels this way? I mean, it isn't just about killing each other for fun, it's about simulating real combat. And when an enemy soldier isn't able to fight anymore, then he's just another guy who needs help in my oppinion.

ok, there is a wounded "bad" guy. you cure him. and now what? you expect him to say thank you and walk away when there is most probably quite a few legitimate targets for him to shoot at? well, I think you have to clear this with your teammates first, as they will (most probably) be the ones to get hurt if you do this...

Thank you for your quick answer. Yes, I might get shot by this bad guy. But then the bad guy suddenly becomes an unsporting asshole, with no sence of gratitude, and thats the kind of guy that I knifekill :P

I'm just trying to save him/her the trouble of walking all the way back to safezone. We're all airsofters, we're all friends :D

You apply the bandage, take him prisoner, and turn him over to the intelligence officers when you return to base.

FWIW, the Allied MPs have plans in place for accomodating large numbers of POWs....

The time prisoners will remain in "Prison" needs to be discussed if not already done (is it?). But pls don't forget informing MP! We'll fetch the prisoner ourselves (that's service) also out of a combat situation, just keep it going;)

In real war, prisoners must always be turned in to the MP with as little delay as possible. Wounded enemies are to be treated and cured as if they were friendlies, then they becomes POWs and turned in to the MP.

and remember u may not take the gun of the POW moore than armsleght from him or he/she puts int on the back in a sling and the third option of some kind of tape to mark that gun is offgame.
the guns are private and shall therefor not be separated from the person without his/her consent.

but those details we MPs will take care of at the scene, u guys just capture them for us.... capture a spetsnaz and youll get a cookie :P

for anone who might get captured, if you do not want to be brought to the allied camp for "intrerrigation" u simply silently say to either the medic or the MPs "OFFGAME" and u will be free to go to your respawn.

Got a question about the medic patch you're supposed to wear during B5.
Is it allowed to wear a subdued version of the red cross(Black and OD) instead of regular Red and White one?

By request from NIN I'll post a suggestion to what medical NOPLAYequipment every group should carry into field. So they have the nessesary equipment for stabilizing the wounded personel until propper help arrives.

4-5 antibact. wipes
4x4 gauze
gauzeballs
eye kit
ace wrap
trauma scissor
2 field dressings
1 Large field dressing
1 roll stretch gauze
Blister tape
Clorhexidin \ pyrisept
