Does that mean that even unarmored vehicles can be knocked out only by IR equipped weapons? So they are in fact armored against small arms fire?

I would think more that it is unarmoured vehicles can ALSO be knocked out by the IR weapons, as well as small arms fire to the drivers windshield. But if you don't have the BAVS installed you wouldn't know you were hit by an AT IR weapon.

and the result is not the same, if the driver is shot you can get out from the car if shot from an anti-tank weapon no one will survive the shot :p

"Tanks & Armoured vehicles are driven by trustees or game-masters"

That's what rules say. As far as I understand noone of the players can transform his vehicle into an armored vehicle.

It sunds logically that if all vehicles will be equipped with IR recievers that if the wehicle was taken down by IR-cannon everybody inside is killed, I mean not wounded but killed.

"To stop an ordinary vehicle it is enough to shoot a burst of bb´s on the drivers side of the windshield or side window. All drivers will be instructed to stop and yell hit when struck by a burst of bb´s. Only the driver is hit if the vindshield, standard hit rules apply for others in the car."

We had some problems with that on B7, the drivers didn't followed the rules. The cars with the drivers didn't stop as far as we were able to see. The limiting speed is 30 km/h, in this case stop disnace could be estimeted by 20m max. (actually in military convoys usually it considered to be 15m) So I would Like to ask the drivers to be more careful at this particular point and obey the rules.

What does an installation of one unit "BAVS" cost?
How long does it take to install it?
Can the installation be done on site?
What has to be done in advance?

Greetings and have fun,

BM

You can shoot both Ir and BB´s the main advantage is the far longer range with Ir (bavs system).

There is difference between STOP a car and DESTROY it. Now, BE want ALL vehicle use the BAV 2.0-system. That´s the way to DESTROY it.

When you shoot a bunch of BB´s to the windshield on drivers side, he will stop the engine and shout HIT. The car is STOPPED, and driver need a medic as usual.

The other people in the car can be shot "as usual". That means shooting on sidewindow should kill passengers on that side, but i rather say they need to bring the side-shield down all time, right?

With my experiance, the windows are easy to break with a bunch of bb´s!!!
If the car will stop, passengers should get out of the car emediately and take cover i say!!!

Hello
Can you borrow vehicles? in game
NO you cannot because most vehicles are privatly owned and driven by owners or desiganted drivers.

The TGB trucks are only driven by Event drivers.

Rent a car @ Avis with aditional insurance and miles... probably the same cost as buying a old military 4x4. but hey.. it's the fun that counts.

My team.. we buy our cars and roll into battle looking pretty badass.
