How do you feel about game currency that was used at Berget 6?

It was a good addition to the game. But you should inform this better. Also raise the value of the money to an individual player. I myself didn't anything to do with the money, so for me it was pretty much the same if there were or weren't any money available.

Bigger money for the NATO/SRP/MERC/UN/CIV/BANDS/SMUGGS was a nice thing. One could "buy" things that may affect the situation and so on.

So, keep this, inform better and increase the value of a doller for an idividual player (meaning: you could buy coke&chips -> increase persons/places "selling" these).

can't really see why the money would be used on a "grunt" level. But it sure gave an extra edge to the game. We in the "CIA TF" used it to control the game in a way that suited our goals (to not have a Conrad or NATO controlled country).

We did not know about the money at game start wish held us back at the beginning. If we had known we could have done a lot more damage in controlling the different sides armament.

I heard there was a special prize for the player with the biggest number of cash, was this true?

Because it was informed that the money could use (those "one dollar bills") to buy some real things from civilians or smugglers. If this is the intention, it should be done in such way that as many player as possible can use this.

The ingame currency is too LARP. Game money shoult play the same role as ammo crates, drug packages, missile chips &c. Just an atmospheric resource or mission goal.
LARP elements should only create an atmosphere of military conflict and disturbance, not affect the game process. Ingame money can provoke people to kill or robber others just for money, but it is absolutery unallowable in airsoft. I am the LARP player. When i want to play LARP, i play LARP. I personally don`t want to play LARP on Berget. If it is announced as an airsoft game, it should be airsoft, not LARP with airsoft elements.

I agree with soljarka that many people were surprised that the game dynamics was so influenced by LARP elements. Many Norwegians came to this game with a milsim-oriented motivation. And not being much into LARP - some people even left the game prematurely because they expected more action - and no roleplaying/LARP. My club doesn't do LARP whatsoever and some more milsim-oriented people didn't get what they expected either.

I was totally surprised and could only smile when the SRP CO tried to buy me off with Berget-dollars. Out of pure loyalty and no experience whatsoever with LARP I simply hobbled back to my kit with a refilled camelpak, grinning teeth and rejoined my squad. Good for a giggle, but had these Finns played harder, I simply would have called "off game" since I have no experience in LARP or such roleplay. I stay with my unit - period.

Let's do this as a clean airsoft-game, preferrably clean milsim next time. That way we may avoid this years unsatisfied lot. Let them stay home.

Ingame money LARP may spice up an airsoftgame, but the pure size of Berget 7 - with up to 2000 airsofters will IMHO favourize a clean milsim game without any LARP elements. Easier job for all CO's and easier for keeping not properly game-updated elements out of the game.

Just my thoughts.

Well. I'm one of those Mil-sim LARP players that thaugh it was too speedball at this years BE.
" envelopemissions " is a part of the past. I'm more into Freeplay as it's called. Your job, your missionachievements, your mindset, controls the outcast of the game. If you gather enough intell you'll be better suited for want your gonna do , not just because it says so in a letter. So I was disapointed over this years BE, But maybe a mix of LARPers and speeds is a win ? like some CIA\FSK\ Blackops \ PMC unit that will do their thing in addition to gamerealted. if you see my point.

Money ? Good thing, but inform better. Nobody knew about the contest . I had more money than one of those guys.

motörhead, soljarka!

If you have read on B6 homepage under FAQ you should have know this is as qouted below.

Q: Is Berget 6 a MILSIM ?
A: No, Berget 6 is a Airsoftgame with elements of milsim."

I loved the money and the larp moments. It brings a new level to the air soft event, not a milsim event, and more interaction between players.
I think is boring with all the player whining about it was not milsim when it was clear on B6 homepage it was not a milsim.

I hope this will continue even more on B7.

I was indeed very much aware of this and I'm still very pleased with this airsoftgame from my personal standpoint. :-) However we lost some of our folks because the B6 website failed to communicate certain game elements beforehand.

Exactly where are the ingame money mentioned on same website? And to me the words "Airsoftgame with elements of milsim" are not equal to [fill in theatrical , Monty Pytonish, thundering voice from above] ---> "Though shalt expect some Live Action Role Play, me laddie! So prepare thyself for that honour, stout yeoman!".<---

I'm not by any means a hardcore milsimmer - but simply feel a more milsim-oriented game in the future can shave away some of this years unfortunate complaints and clear up a few things. Just my thoughts after less than a year of total experience in airsoft. You veteran airsofters simply have another platform to work from when evaluating a big game like B6.

In that respect and also by reading the original B6 website I was surprised to find so much LARP (which I have absolutely no experience with and had to google up to see WTF was...) affecting the game dynamics. So to me personally ingame money is a fascinating, but unecessary element I can live without. I'm quite simply not that kind of roleplayer - YET - if you see the self-irony ;-)

ROFL :D +1
That's it. The word "Airsoftgame" has nothing to do with LARP, dear Meathead.
