+1 Tomy and Stuntman.

Talk about failing to adapt to the circumstances and not showing personal initiative organizing themselves. Doesn't appear those dudes read the gameplay setup or game forum tips and relevant threads in advance. In addition their Coy CO was reported to never show up at NATO battalion briefings hence not operating in concert with other NATO Coy CO's and providing a functional command structure etc. Confirmable?

What Stuntman said about choosing one's role & unit category in advance and preparing for it is very valid indeed. For me Berget is a unique concept worthwhile to participate in. I learned a lot on my debut this year and will most certainly adapt better next year. :-)

We're already preparing Berget 7 to play again in Mechanized Brigade. How?

Preparing to know how to jump the trucks, testing the postions outside trucks, know how to work in convoys, etc...

Also, we're preparing to make a PM role... how?

Preparing road blocks, doing some machine guns nests, searching veichles, keeping prsioners, patrolling the base, covering the leaders ass in their walks!

Be sure that B7, we're prepared to do lots of things and we won't say nothing if it is wrong, because we know how hard it's to make anything good for others.

True. This is only a game and not a silver plated boxed event.
- The game is as good as you make it yourself and although one can expect Berget-Events to adapt and evolve there will always be deviations from the ideal world. One can at least control one's own motivation and attitudes if everything else fails. Fix whatever you can and adapt as best.

Our Norwegian Coy was organized months in advance before B6 and although some vehicles failed to appear and quite a few people failed to show up we managed to set up a Coy based on a traditional setup with three platoons. Two of our platoon commanders were working mil personel and we prepared for a chain-of-command setup and mentally prepared for this in advance. Worked reasonably well and I feel we came out nicely. The whiners and some otherwise occupated with other things to do left prematurely while the motivated lot remained through saturday ;-)

The people failing to adapt to this were IMHO and acording to my observations more typically speedball-mentality dudes mostly without mil or hiking experience and some dudes not having read properly the pre-game tips on Norwegian forums and BE-forum and therefore not being realistic about what to expect.

We had a huge advantage from our conscription type of army. A HUGE majority had done military service, so everyone was used to getting orders and executing them without hesitation or complaints. Of course there was some nagging, but it's normal behaviour in the army :) Our leadership had had their leadership training in the military, so they knew what to do and they did it outstandingly.

True Paha, i feel spoiled. Troops that follow orders and co:s that dish them out.. :P
I guess there should be a simple guide reference to those who don´t get it next time...

Chain of comm is quit simple, it means you dont have to think unless you want to.
