Berget is infact the worlds largest international airsoft-game, but it is not disneyworld. This is close to a military operation and things will go wrong and get delayed. If this happens try to do the best of the situation and keep the good spirit up.
Even if there is 1000+ people, this is not counterstrike where you get to shoot the bad guys all the time.
If you are lucky you can experience firefights with serveral 100 involved or even 1000 but don't expect it.
Good luck!

one thing that thoose who play CO's got to keep in mind is hat their troops will get tired about not being sent on enough "action" rfille missions.
People go to events to have fun, and if the common soldier don't have enough fun he might ignorre the story and seek it up. It is unfortunate that that situation will occurs.

Each soldier must have patience , it will not be fun all the time, infact it wil be boring from time to time, but have patience. If you wander of to seek it your self you will probobly miss it.

basicaly berget is ONLY for VASTLY experienced players. That usually means players with INTERNATIONAL airsoft event experience. every country has its own style of airsoft. So expect the unexpected, really something else than your regular saturday game. Meaning this in a good and in a bad way. You either like what berget offers or you do not. And you may only find out after you come and see. If it is your first time, then just keep low and "inhale" the game first and see how you can contribute to the overall experience. DON NOT EXPECT TO BE AMUSED AS IN A DISNEY PARK. YOU YOURSELF ARE THE AMUSEMENT. SO ACT.

keep in mind that 3 hours waiting is a little because you can be out for fignting for 5 or 6 hours maybe more (take in count that you have to move towards the objectives, take position assault, destroy the ennemie or be destroyed and com back to the base)
maybe you should use this time to drink, eat, rest, talking to the others, like discovering who are the crazy team who mount a .50cal on their truck or from where people come from
an international airsoft event is not only airsoft it's also discovering how people play airsoft in their country

Vardemis makes some good points. We all know waiting sucks, and everyone is trying to ensure people don't sit around without direction for too long.
On the flip side, when someone does happen, if you leave the platoon/company/battalion waiting, you risk missing out. The situation is that sometimes you might have to wait for things to happen in the game, but the game will rarely be able to wait for you.
It might not seem fair, but that is the way things work in the real world. It takes time to things to get in place, but once they are rolling it can be hard to slow or stop them.
Be patient, Be ready.

The way you guys descripe it, it's sound just like the military exercise's i used to go on,
three good rules for a foot soldier:
1. smoke them if you got them( you never know when the action begins)
2. allways carry a deck of cards ( good way to keep the moral up)
3. relax when you can ( a rested soldier is a ready soldier)
that's what i was told in the army

There is a saying in Romania about military service:
"Hurry up and wait".
It proved true in real life situations (platoon assembles at 5:30, gets in the trucks at 6:00 sharp, but the convoy only moves out at 8:30, because the CO left something vitally important for the last minute) and proved accurate time and again in terms of airsoft...
So yeah, expect a lot of downtime, but hey, that's how it happens in real life, too!

If berget 7 is your first and you are a newbee, don´t let the so call experienced big talking players scare or impress you. Keep your head low, watch, listen and stick to a player that you know who is not just a big talker but really experienced. You will have lots of fun, if you are willing to learn. Look around and see everything. Try and behave a bit like a soldier and you´ll be fine. Most of all don´t be a weeny and complain about everything but the weather.

A good advice is not to whine at all.
A whiner will:
-Lower the moral of the squad
-make the other players lose respect in him/her
-make him/her feel worse, soon the rest of the squad will follow
-give up the position of the squad (in some cases)
Stay positiv and good things will happen.
Be cheerfull

I always complain and no body ever follow, I guess the people around me are smart enough not to listenTalisman wrote:A good advice is not to whine at all.

Or I just complain on not really important things that no body care
Conclusion neve listen to a whiner

As long as you dont complain about your feets hurting or that your gear is to heavy, Im ok with it.
Remember if you are thinking about complaing about something that has to do with the current activity; dont.
The rest of the team knows the "fault", but keep it to your self

I dont really agree there. If your feet hurt, and you know its more than they should, then do tell right away. Theres really no use in killing your feet of with nasty blisters and shit if it could've been prevented by simply telling your teammates and maybe asking for help from someone who knows how to treat them properly.
The thing is to be smart about the "whining".
