Their products can also be found as part of some military rations.

I love my MREs but my questions are do you have to bring your own or are all of your food or is some provided? Thanks.

Real-made-food, and it´s worm (atleast when deliver). No drink.
The deliver comes to camp, and then it´s up to you to be there in time. Info could be little shorthanded sometimes, so the food could be cold until you get it.
If you can get MRE´s or similar, it will be enough because you can go to Safezone or into town and get fruites or warm food some of the days...

Time to crawl out of the cave for B8 :)

My impressions from B7 of eating and drinking.

Firstly - berget meals are nice, although small. If you plan on getting back to base at regular intervals for lunch and dinner - you should buy them, but I found out i didn't use up 50% of my coupons because of being out in the field and forgetting to give it to someone so he can take my meal for me.

For the field time - we went into Harnosand and bought some compacted bread, energy bars and small beef jerky sausages which were great. We intended to buy a gas cooker but forgot to do it in Sundsvall and couldn't find one in harnosand.

As for drinking - always carry at-least 2 canteens of water - prefferably even a hydration pack since it's stowed inside your vest/backpack and easly drinkable. I used 3L packs which ran out quite fast and needed constant refilling.
Berget 9 - NAF 3rd Rangers.
Berget 8 - NAF 5th Infantry.
Berget 7 - NATO, INDIA 2-2 comms NCO.

B8 is going to be my first Berget
Nevertheless I've learned some important lessons from local events that I would like to share:

1) Don't have too much of one thing:
It's true for the hydration contents, food and even the weapon you're carrying and the role you're playing in the game (Gunner, medic, sniper etc.).

In this thread's context I would recommend to buy food on Berget or use the food tickets.
MRE's are cool if you're into hardcore milsim, and a necessity if you're going to be on the field most of the time but not in a permanent base where you got food.
Get real food!

Also, do get an energy drink (Not redbull!!!) in you canteen, hydration bladder, a bottle or whatever.
Beside of the hard work of cleaning it later you will get tired of it's taste and not have another option.
You can however, as wired as it sounds, switch the canteen (or whatever solution you choose) with your teammate, and both of you will enjoy the benefits of both the drinks.

2) Eat, but not too much!
If you have a demanding mission ahead, try to eat a light meal.
You don't want your stomach to slow you down due to increased blood flow to it because of the last meal, and you really don't want to switch your artillery with another type of artillery (Bathroom).

3) Salt.
You sweat so you lose salt, and even if you don't feel it - it is important.
Before I had some energy drink in my hydration, in the end of every game/training, I felt a need for salty food.
If you want clear water, you must have an energy snack, peanuts or alike to get that salt back.
For those who do carry an additional bottle I recommend putting a smaller amount of energy drink in the hydration bladder instead (You don't have to stick with the amount specified on the box - do what's suitable to you)

Hope this helps someone...
