Euro or SEK

Post by Yakuza_Dragon » 16 May 2012, 11:18

Hey guys,

I was wondering, what cash is better to have in Sweden, Euro or the local SEK?

I have to pay for motels, restaurants, gas and god know what...

Thank you.

EVERYWHERE except Safezone is using creditcard. At the closest supermarket there is a cashmashine. There you could cashout some € and SEK. What you use is up to you i think. Almost every shop take both € and SEK. But my advice is to use cards!

Last year I had some SEK with me. I only spend a small amount of them (Coke and a Berget-Burger Menu). Most of the time (Safezone and so on) I used Euros. At gas stations and the bridges we used cards. This year I will probaply change some Crowns at Arlanda or at the cash withdrawl, because I will stay a bit longer before and after the events, so it will be easier to pay my drinks at the bar ;)

Me thoughts excectly...

We arrive on the 24th to Stockholm, so we reserved a motel there, probably will go eat dinner and to some bar.
next dat we drive to Sundsvall, same here- motel and dinner...

Crowns sould be easier to use than Euro, right?

At the gamesite or at the airport (even at some diners along the highways) euro bills (no coins!) are accepted without any problems. For everything else you should use SEK. If you have some coins or bills left in your wallet after the event thats also no problem....use them at Berget 11

To be able o buy brgers and hot snacks in Safezone and base kiosks be sure to bring cash. SEK and EURO is ok. (We do not accept Euro coins)

Some of the shops in Safzone might take creditcard but bring Cash to be sure.
