Newbie here. What do I need to get inside the game area?

What do I need? I'm not really sure... I've got an email confirming that I've paid for my ticket and so on. Should I print it out and write down the "code" I got? Will that and my ID suffice?

Yep, your ticket ID and your passport/ID card will generally be enough.
The next step is to get to the safe zone safe and sound, and they will give you the details from there.
If you're new, after checking in at the safe zone, ask the Crew where your ingame base camp is (they forget to tell you sometimes, so just ask) - or ask around if anyone is leaving for the base camp. Take care to ask the right people, or you might start off as a prisoner of war in the enemy's base camp
(hasn't happened yet).

My ticket ID is the 4 digit number I got after paying for my ticket?
Thanks for the helpful tips! I'll do my best not to start the game being a prisoner

That's your ticket number/armband number (unless Berget is going to change that), but it should be enough for checking in.
