Yeah sorry your right, airsoftbutiken won't take the risk... I'm sure fakewar will do it, they used to say they could order anything from WGC.

Good, I'll give them a call today. The gun seems to be in stock at WGC too, wonderful.

Not really legally but they probably won't care.

If you contact the police you can get a importlicense which is required for all who is importing gasprop. weapons, since they (I think) also can be propelled by a dangerous gas.

Hi Folks

Me and my mates would like to join you at Berget-OP, but because of problems with raising the needed money and getting enough free time,we won´t be able to join b6, but hopefully, we will do it in 2009.

Now I found this Topic and get a little bit frightened...is it really that hard to get gas-operated Guns through swedish customs?
What do I have to do, to get this import license, mentioned above?

I cannot read the linked text because i do not speak any swedish.

Could anyone help me?

There is no license to be had because gasweapons are supposed to be license-excempt like all airsoft guns.

This is a loophole in the swedish gunlaw which is bad for us airsoftplayers, but not all customs agents care about it, so a lot of people import gas weapons without problems.

Since you live in germany you can either take the chance and bring your gasweapons in person, send them to berget staff (in-EU transit so probability of customs is very low), or just leave them at home.

Hi,

I'm a bit confused,

We planned to travel by plane and take our guns with us.
Now I read that it is not legal to bring a Tanaka M40 and a Maruzen P99
(both gas propelled) to B6 ?

Wich kind of Airsoft-Handguns and Snipers can legally be used in Sweden?

thanks for help

The law states that any gun powered by "co2, air or spring" and with power below 3J for semi/full auto and 10J for single-shot is legal.

The problem lies in that some customs agents and police interpret the "co2, air or spring" line in the law to exclude gas.

I must tell you that most of the time there is no problem, but you can get unlucky.

So basically it's better to leave gas guns at home?

I'd gladly bring my Asahi M60 (if I can buy CO2 from a paintball shop in Stockholm, or at the game site), but I don't wanna risk my $2K gun at the Swedish customs... :(

Its a rather old thread m8, but CO2 aint a problem. Its the HFC134a-propelled guns that fall outside of the laws, whilst CO2 is fully legal. SO please bring it, as long as you play in NATO. :P
