Area was pretty good, the size suits to the number of players and was awesome in major parts.

but :

- Camps were or tends to be on the same line

- We mainly use the north of the game area, from west to east and east to west, but the road in the deep south wasn't a big centre of attraction.

- Camps were too close one from the other one => from merc camp we were able to reach NATO and SRP camps in 15 minutes or less, a bit more for UN and civilians... that was fine for basic sunday airsoft players, but we were expecting it to be harder than that.

- Game area was not clearly defined, and changed during the game. (main road in the north)

That's the main points I remember now... perhaps other one will be added.

Cheers

The area an enviroment was great. The only minuses were:

-too small
-camps too close to each other
-real civilians using the roads could create many dangerous situations

Using roads is a perfect way to get shot :-)
I think there were enough roads for the cars and tanks to drive on, and footsoldiers don't need them.

My opinion - thank God it wasn't bigger. Few more roads would had made it better (convoys etc.) but the terrain was challenging enough and hills sure gave extra kilometers to run. With legs this short I had my share of marching, climbing and running - and I was happy about it. More would had be too much for a girl.

For me the game area was too litlle for 1000 players , but this time i really think that there are about 600/700 players and the AO it's perfect for this number.

I agree with the last post, the area itself was big enough though, but the bases were too close.

There was more than enough space to spread the bases out a little.

I'm not sure what happended with you guys but the amount of times we have to hike for 4/5 hours to get to an objective was silly. Of the 6 days we were playing we had at most one hours worth of actual encounters per day, the rest hiking. I'd say make the site smaller and get people doing what they signed up to do - airsofting not hiking.

I though the 4 hours hiking added to the overall game.

We were playing Milsing not speedball :P.

Being able to scout around major engagements so you can complete a mission's funny :).

As quoted many many times by commanders and Berget admin THIS WAS NOT A MILSIM. And yes i don't mind walking 4 hours except a lot of the time we walked 4 hours to objectives that weren't there anymore.

I think the area was well suited for the game. Though it was not properly used by Berget-events.
