Mandatory equipment

Post by Mackan52 » 02 Jun 2011, 10:19

I am just about now preparing my kit for Berget.

I would like to know if there are anything except the following that is mandatory for Berget in terms of equipmet that I have missed, I have red the rules and regulations but I just want to be secure as it is my first Berget game so forgive my ignorance. I would also like to know if a spare weapon is mandatory or just good to have.

1. Weapon: AK104 (120m/s) w. four spare batteries
2. BBs and 8 low cap mags
3. Uniform and chest rig
4. Medic and teampatch
5. Armband
6. "Hit"- flag

The only things thar are really mandatory are your uniform, which has to be correct for your faction, an armband in the correct colour with armband-number and your hit flag of death

For the rest you can bring as much or as less gear if you like, you can hop around in the same things all week or change gear setup and primary weapon as much as you want.

So, although not mandatory, i must say a spare weapon does posses the uncanny ability to come in handy when most needed. :P

A pretty good packing list is here: http://berget-events.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5005

As regards to spare weapon, it depends on whether you are sure in reliability of your main weapon. I am sure in mine and won't take a spare.

Probably you would like to take a spare Class 1 weapon (up to 109 m/s), at least a handgun, to be able to shoot from a close distance in CQB (last year my Glock helped to knock out the opponent that crawled under my armored vehicle while I was sitting in the cabin).
A riflescope reticle is also someone's point of view

Mosquito repellent is mandatory!

For secondary weapon, bring a weapon that uses the same magazines and batteries as your primary! You will free up a lot of space and money if you are buying a new one.

The question was what's MANDATORY, not what's good to have with. We already have a thread about good to bring items...

I concur, and I always bring a spare set, but as always, I assume that eyepro will also be sold on-site by different vendors.

As I need "real glasses" (serious case "Myopia") I carry a special brand of protective eyegear. :D

As i said in another thread, i use ESS I.C.E. and i bought two pairs. Then i can switch between dark and clear in a sec.

This year i also need correction-glasses, so i ordered a prescr. insert for my ESS. They cost a fortune, but they work fine!

If you´ll need power from the generator, bring your own connector-bracket. Never use the last connector on the "system". Always leave same nr or more connectors free...

Commanders have responsabuillity to put a limit for user on the system!
