I was not there last year but I can say that the tents, showers and toilets at the NAF was an improvement since B7.

Okay-ish in NAF base.

+ Infrastructure was the same as in Berget9, which was a good thing. Enough toilets, showers, water and the great service of the kiosk personnel.

+/- The trash collection service was an improvement, though NAF commanders should have been informed beforehand. The lady collecting the bags always had to run through the entire base and look everywhere for the bags, which would have been unnecessary if we had been able to set some guidelines for players to drop full bags at a central point at fixed times for her to pick up (at one time, she accidentally took a bag containing a player's belongings along, a problem which luckily could be solved relatively quickly). Since Commander's weren't informed beforehand and couldn't therefore inform their players before the game, we never got the message across to all players during the game.

- Drinking water supply was limited to the tabs outside the kiosk. It was enough to supply both NAF and the Zansians refilling their bottles, but as last year, there was never a clear word if this was meant to be drinking water. Players just used it based on last year's experience that no one got sick even though it was never officially declared drinking water.

-- Tents proved to be 80% not fit for rain during Friday night/Saturday morning. Sadly enough, even the new big green Mash tents that at least didn't threaten to collapse every now and then didn't last in the rain. I have to admit I have no idea on how to fix this that wouldn't require large amounts of money, but this is the very base requirement of player accomodation in a event this big, and this definitely needs improvement.

- Funnily enough, toilet paper ran out quickly and was never replaced. (Cue obvious joke that Poldavians apparently made us 'shit our pants' a lot... ;))
Been here since B08... :)

I don't expect anything from toilets and shower that have to serve a lot of people, otherwise tents (at least our) were in very bad shape, last night we had 15 cm of water inside. Next year we'll bring our camping stuff ;)

Tents was a big -. We had to re-raise our tent and lay rocks on the side to make stand. On friday night one of the poles sank into the ground as a result of the heavy rain and the water started poring in. Water and toilets worked fine in poldavian base ;)

My experience.

Toilets: Not too bad, but could be emptyed more often. Or atleast cleaned with other things than just water. Some people have a strange way of doing their number 2's as bootprints were found on top of the seat etc. Next year i'll bring a huge poster with " HOW TO TAKE A SH*T " on it.

Water: Endless supply from a truck = Very nice.

Shower; Didnt find any. Guess there was but i didnt bother find it.=)

Tent: Had our own tent....thank god! Some BE tents didnt handle the weather at all.

Kiosk: Food was good and no complains from me.
Best regards, Naitzo.

The tents in the NAF base where put up horribly! same thing last year, a little rain and it all came trough, that's why we slept outside under a tarp the whole game =]

I don´t think BE should demand that private tents have to be "military style" as long as the BE provided tents don´t protect the players from the elements. As it is now BE demands that you either buy a big and high quality tent, or just expose yourself to the elements.

If the tent is properly put up and protected(small ditches around it etc.) it will withstand the elements.

+1 Mr.Black.

These Tents are a joke! There HAS to be some improvement for next years event.

Toilets were ok from what i've seen.

I didn't take a shower, but from what i've heard they were mostly COLD, due to the fact that the boilers where too small for so many people. But i don't mind.

the little ditch/trench we made was just flooded and the rain was also coming through the Tent itself. So we had water from above AND below.
That means: atleast not all tents could withstand the elements.

The quality of the new tents was perfect. The toilets was Ok, the problem with hot water is still and the dirt in the bathroom.

3Mnt Pol

The tents were terrible and the ground under it was not good either.

Personally my feeling is that Berget should allow people to provide their own tents if they wish and in future I'm just gonna bring my own small tent as I would like to be both warm and secondly not getting nailed in the face by a falling tent.

Showers? What showers?

Toilets. These are always bad at these type of events. The one occassion I did visit them was imediately following them been cleaned by a older gent. It was full with poo still and it was a rancid experience.

Water was good and never had an issue there.

The old type squad tents need some DIY work by their inhabitants, they're not always properly set up. We fixed ours with some zipties and paracord, and never had a problem with it.
The new, larger tents are much better though. Had one last year, and while these too needed some work, they provided much roomier and comfortable sleeping quarters.
We underestimated the amount of rain we would have Friday night and early Saturday, and didn't dig any ditches around the tent, but that was our own fault.

Our tent was next to the kiosk (kisok :P ) which had its entrance facing us. It would have been better if it had been facing the parking lot.

The toilets weren't too bad. I've seen worse. Not the most pleasant pooping experience, but they got the job done.

Showers? Never saw any.

The water was good, no foul aftertaste and it was always running and available when I needed it.
