M27 as light support?

Post by Zypod » 14 Oct 2017, 20:23

I plan on using an M27 for det next game as a light support weapon with class 2. I will be using midcaps, as the realthing do not use drums, but can i have 5000BB's in to the field?

Hello!

From the rules:

To summarize: Standard: Max 100 rounds/mag. Snipers: Max 30 rounds/mag.
Light Support Weapon (KAC LMG, Stoner mk23, L86,HK23, MG36, G36 etc) : Max 500 rounds/mag. Drum or box mag. Support Weapon (RPK, PKM, M240, M249, M60, MK43, Mg3): 3000-5000 round/mag. Drum or box mag.

In addition to any ammunition carried in magazines, you may carry up to 1200 rounds (5000 for support gunners) to reload in the field. You can top up your ammunition allowance in your home base, Safe-zone or while re-spawning. There is no limit on reloading ammo you may store at your base.

Right, but the m27 IAR is classified as a squad support weapon. In the same line as the RPK, L86, and G36. Any comment on that?

It's a LIGHT support weapon, so you are allowed to use C Magazines up to 500 rounds, but can only carry 1200 BBs on you

IMO, except for the RPK, they should all be restricted to the same magazines as regular rifles. Just carry more of them.
