Practicality of a GBBR for Berget
Practicality of a GBBR for Berget
Anyone use a gbbr exclusively for an event? What was your experience like?
Re: Practicality of a GBBR for Berget
As usual with GBBRs, ammo capacity is a limiting factor. I've run a KWA MP9 on two Berget. I think it works fine. If you manage to play with it during a regular weekend game, you should manage now too.
Evening and night temperatures may be a factor if you have a sensitive rifle as well, but it's usually warm enough.

Re: Practicality of a GBBR for Berget
I use a ghk so gas efficiency is phenomenal even in cold. For mags, how many would recommend given the player count and scale/size of the field. I currently just use 4 + 1 mags and carry an m4 sized speedloader if I really need it which I usually don't.MiqaFox wrote: ↑26 Jun 2018, 02:26As usual with GBBRs, ammo capacity is a limiting factor. Re: Practicality of a GBBR for Berget
Hard to tell. You always end up in situations where you run out, not every fight, but it happens. I think that the situation is the same, even if you play with an AEG and carry ten mid caps.
Had 4 mags with 40 bbs each the time I've run GBBRs at Berget. It's an ok balance, but you will always be the one with the least amount. It severely limits any possibility of suppressive fire. If you have more I'd recommend bringing it. If not it will be fine. Fights can be very unpredictable, from a handful of enemies to hundreds, so it is impossible to make a general recommendation. The terrain for this Berget is mostly close to medium range, not a lot of open fields, so that certainly helps.

Sounds good, my range pushes 200ft so the close to mid range is perfectMiqaFox wrote: ↑26 Jun 2018, 21:48Hard to tell. You always end up in situations where you run out, not every fight, but it happens. I think that the situation is the same, even if you play with an AEG and carry ten mid caps.

Just don't bring high caps. High caps will always be the worst unless you are running and LMG. They are loud an everyone will be able to know where you are with ease. Midcaps with a good AEG will always be my Preference
Re: Practicality of a GBBR for Berget
Berget has a 100 bb maximum for magazines on regular rifles. So that is no issue.

Re: Practicality of a GBBR for Berget
Yeah I know capacity is restricted so no issues there. What would you run if you ran an AEG?
Re: Practicality of a GBBR for Berget
I ran a WE Scar, with green gas mags, doing B8, and it was a lot of fun.
Sure I had to take into consideration my ammo limit and that if I fired fast enough I would experience significant cool-down.
But since the firefights are relatively short and I'm almost always in the front, it wasn't a big problem.
I would recommend if running a gbbr get one that you can acquirer CO2 magazines for.

Glad to hear that! I run a GHK which is super gas efficient in the cold, but will keep the CO2 tip in mind. How many mags did you run with the Scar?Zoidberg wrote: ↑12 Jul 2018, 17:22I ran a WE Scar, with green gas mags, doing B8, and it was a lot of fun.

Re: Practicality of a GBBR for Berget
I ran eight + one in the gun. And I only had to do one or two field reloads.
