But as the previous posters asked, myself included we are now the 3rd of June, no sign of the map or radio frequencies. You do realise that this information needs to be handed down to the platoons so they can continue their planning
Exactly and well put Windi, and as with any business we are the vocal minority who express our discontent because we want to see improvements to something that we love and invest a lot of time and money to make it happen.Windi^ wrote: ↑04 Jun 2019, 13:18NightSinner is correct. It is really frustrating and same time disappointing that BE states that they want to choose the commanders etc well in time to have them proper time to prepare. But after that everything is late. I literally mean every little thing that the commander needs to get to actually plan out, and then share to the players.
Radios: We need to allocate the FQ inside of the units. We need to program our radios beforehand.
Map: We need to rename the locations, we need the base and CP locations etc.
Base location and layout: We need to plan where the tents are put, how many and who's in what tent.
Every goddam year this same situation, under a month to the event, crucial information is still missing. There is so very little time to prepare and distribute these thing to all players so that they actually get them.
Usually the explanation is that BE Crew has other jobs also. Understood, but you work as a company, hire more people then. Or start earlier. And guess what, we also have other jobs. We spend quite a significant amount of money and time to this event. We are the customers. Beside our jobs we do this stuff for other players, we contribute and don't even get paid, so least we could expect is swift and timely delivery of crucial details from BE Crew.
Couple of years ago I decided to skip events due to all of these problems. I came back with a confidence that things have changed. Well, they are, but to the worse. I have already decided not to attend BE 2020. There need to be consequences not handling, what is essentially business, well. The only way to do it is to not to attend. Unfortunately BE has reached a point with many of the players that even if they --- SPAM !!! --- up a ton, people will still come, and then there is actually no reason them to fix their performance.
Deleting posts is just sad thing to do, it really doesn't help. I would rather see a message addressing the problem, apologizing and then giving and actual date and details of missing stuff.

That's a great company motto, be even better if you lived by it, cause there is very little evidence of you planning anything, and if there is planning you are able to excute those plans. That can be the result of several factors, but the one that myself and a lot of others suspect that it's gotten to big to run as a part time thing. More resources needs to be devoted to it in order to cope. You are reaching critical mass and unless measures are taken to address the inadequacies and inefficiencies you will start to notice that the # of participants will dwindle.
Where here's a little spoiler alert, next year (if there is a next year at this rate) you will need to release maps, open forums, release radio frequencies, select faction commanders, OPEN THE SHOP!!!
All these things are standard and there shouldn't be any difficulties in repeating the process for each year and game. As OzCam says, if you guys are incapable or releasing and take care of such crucial info 3 WEEKS before game start then what you need to spend time on planning is the structure of BE as it's clearly not working that well anymore. Each year instead of using the previous years as platform you learn from your mistakes and evolve from them you seem to regress instead which makes it even more frustrating.
Why can't you guys learn from each year and improve? Is it that hard?
The fact that you have so many people that decided to pay to participate and then to take a week of work/life/family should be taken into consideration and respected.
We are paying customers, and we are not "demanding" anything that is unreasonable, we simply want the information that we require (which is the same info we pretty much need every. single. year. without. fail) How come this can't be meet and instead given some inane answers such as "soon"
The lack of respect that you are showing us the PAYING participants is what upsets me the most. I want to come. I look forward to this event all year. Me and my friends love the planning element of it all, but you suck the life out of it, like a fun sponge.
No more excuses. Just fix it.
Thank you for your feedback!NightSinner wrote: ↑05 Jun 2019, 02:44Plan

Let me help you out a little bit.
You can use the intel that you allready got from previous years to start. If it's the same every year, you know things like this can happen.
Adapt and overcome?
It's not correct that it takes this long to get all the info out to us, but it happens.
Get over it, take a chill pill and take the energy and put it in preparing for the game.
I agree in some point with the things you mention.NightSinner wrote: ↑05 Jun 2019, 22:31Hey Verage, thank you for wading into the conversation and completely missing the point.
Regardless of this, one of the great things about Berget is that we can all have a different kind of game, you can enjoy your extended sunday type of game where you can just rock up and empty your mags, whereas myself and the ones I play with prefer to take a more tactical approach, something that is impacted by the lack of information that is released by BE.
Of course we can "adapt and overcome" which we do each year, to a certain degree of success, however the experience for everyone (that wants a more tactical approach at least) is enhanced when the relevant information is forthcoming.
And as a side note the intel is not the same as last year, it's a new game. The play area is the same, supposedly, that much is correct, as well as the main bases, but the other CPs and such alike are not. Again depending on the type of game you are after this will be missed by some people.
However, in case you missed it, which based on your inane comment I can only assume you did, it's not a matter that "things like this can happen" it's more of a fact that they seem happen every year, and they don't get better, but they get worse. Again a fact that perhaps a player such as your self is oblivious towards as you are after a completely different kind of BE experience which is awesome.
And makes it hard to prepare for the game when we are lacking some crucial information, unless you are suggesting that i practice packing my car and unpacking it several times? Or perhaps packing my bags and vest?![]()
@Arradin: Thank you, I hope you do, and I hope they actually listen and do something about it. Time will tell if they actually do listen to their customers
The being a dick about is a matter of perspective. If you accept it I see it as being complacent and weak, are you? I don't think you are but that how I would perceive it. As I mentioned in an earlier post we are the vocal minority that speak up when things are not right and we do so because we care about the event and want it to be successful.Verage wrote: ↑06 Jun 2019, 07:56I agree in some point with the things you mention.NightSinner wrote: ↑05 Jun 2019, 22:31Hey Verage, thank you for wading into the conversation and completely missing the point.

And i also hope that Berget fixes some problems. Just don't be a dick about it.
And if this kind of intel gathering is something to expect from the 'goat hoarders' were good to go.
See you in a few weeks.
*Writes down missions especially for you* Thanks for the ideas! And P.S it's Goat Herders, not a hoarder, I don't collect and never get rid of goats.
